Votecount, 11 hours, 45 minutes to deadline:

Jacob-Lundgren - 1: storm77 [93]

Panzer Commader - 1: Dedonus [97]

Dedonus - 1: Panzer Commader [98]

storm77 - 1: jacob-Lundgren [99]

Non Voters - 6: Yvanoff, Sleepyhead, beartjah, alynkio, randakar, Arkasas

Yvanoff tried voting Wagonlitz in Post 94, but he was already dead.

Let's examine the people who voted Aedan:

Beartjah: Day 1 first vote.
Randakar: Created a 3-way TIE between Aedan, Dedonus and Arkasas 3 hours before deadline, claiming to consolidate. Slightly wolfish - if he really wants to consolidate, it would make sense to consolidate the 2 forerunners Dedonus or Arkasas. Would be interested to see what he says about this.

Having 3 candidates tied at 2 votes 3 hours before deadline is pretty typical. That's more than enough time for a 'let's see how other people react' kind of vote. Randy also has a tradition of always voting the 3rd voter. Someone (Panzer?) once argued that 3 was the ideal number of candidates to have.

Hmm I was going to change my vote according to the Panzer School of Thought because we have too many candidates and need to narrow things down but it seems that the Panzer School of Thought would have me vote Sleepyhead anyway so I will stay where I am but I encourage others to move their votes and focus on about 3 candidates for today

Isn't the the Panzer school of thought voting someone who hasn't shown up yet (so... Claude, more often than not :p)? J-L or Randy at the time of this post (neither would have counted as vote consolidation, however)

Dedonus: Can be seen as a self-preservation vote to get out of the 3-way TIE.

Yep. One could argue he was jumpy about saving himself however. Don't know if Id lynch him based on this, though.

Hey dude! I think you are not suitable for communal trench living! Why are you voting to TIE 2 fellow soldiers together 20 minutes before deadline? You claim to espouse the virtue of democracy and having a clear winner, but what you did is COMMUNISM! Sharing the vote between 2 people ain't democracy no more! Are you a traitor trying to get rid of the entire platoon so that you can get out of this "reenactment"?

VOTE JACOB-LUNDGREN

Yeah... sniping a tie between a villager and an unknown 2 minutes before deadline after a very slow day of voting does stick out a little bit. His story seems to be that he was confused about when deadline is. Plausible day-1 story for an innocent blundering villager just trying to create a TIE in the grand tradition of Paradox Werewolf... or a cover for wolfishness...? Unclear. I'm usually skeptical of making the 'obvious' vote myself (sometimes to my detriment!)

Haven't seen much of everyone's favorite Tjah bear. He was the original aedan voter, and no one voted him yesterday. A strong foolproof case? Hell no. A bit of pressure, really, and a reminder that he exists.

VOTE BEARTJAH

Well, if we're looking at the four aedan voters, which seems as good a place as any to look:

beartjah - a random vote
randy - brings him into a TIE with Dedonus
Dedonus - self-preservation
Wagon - dead

I suppose Wagon would be the best out of all these, but alas, my Danish brother is dead. The others... I could live with killing randy, I suppose, but even that doesn't spark much joy in me. Dedonus I will not blame for not wanting to get lynched on day one. beartjah... shrug. j-L, frankly, is uninspiring, and he is voting storm for... reasons. Reasons?

Well, damn the torpedos, let's kill j-L, at least until he provides us with better reasons.

vote j-L

Official Votecount, deadline:

Aedan777 - 4: Beartjah [65], randakar [77], Dedonus [68 Arkasas -> 78], Wagonlitz [67 Yvanoff -> 85]

Dedonus - 3: Yvanoff [61], Sleepyhead [73], jacob-Lundgren [82 randakar -> 84]

Arkasas - 1: alynkio [72]

Sleepyhead - 1: Panzer Commader [62]

Wagonlitz - 1: Aedan777 [64]

storm77 - 1: Arkasas [69]

alynkio - 1: storm77 [71]

Not Voted - 0: :)

Not that that really tells us much rn but we might as well get something to copy paste for later...

j-l creating a tie that close to deadline is rather weird. Though I'm not sure a wolf would gain much from doing that since he'd be comitting suicide with this. Killing an extra vill is good for a wolf, but nto so good that they'd be this suicidal? Anyway, he's on 2 votes and I'd prefer not to push him ahead until he's actually shown up and explained what he was thinking there...

Not a fan of the "he voted a known vill day 1 so he's more likely to be wolf" cases. Aside from the small detail of it putting myself up as a lynch target, hitting a vill when we're pretty much flailing around randomly doesn't really say much in the way of anything.

Guess it'll be throwaway voter until j-l shows up and explains himself
VOTE STORM

The best I can say is I misprogrammed my watch for whatever timezone this is. It may sound stupid but reality can be dumb. I mean I bordered a plane on my vacation. This despite knowing I didn't actually have any plane tickets. As far as my vote, I don't know who the communists are so I went for good old fashion revenge voting for now.

Votecount, 2 hours, 37 minutes to deadline:

beartjah - 1: alynkio [103]

Yvanoff - 1: Sleepyhead [107]

Non Voters - 2: @Yvanoff , @randakar

So, now that I've taken some time to rest and get my brain to work (somewhat), I can vote

Going for aedan voters is indeed tempting - it's very good for wolves to get aedan lynched day 1. That being said, well Wagon was indeed a villager (and a wolf was better off leaving the tie on anyway), and Dedonus was saving himself - true he could've gone for a switch to someone else instead, but it's flimsy grounds to lynch him today

Now we have beartjah and randy. beartjah's vote can be a wolf trying to get aedan run up day 1 - it can just as well be a random vote, so holding this against him is again weak.

As for randy - well, he always votes for third voter, and that's what he did here. He didn't vote switch, but there was no real reason to do so either way. So, well, one of bear, randy or dedonus might well be a waffle, but there's no real evidence for this.

So where to go ? Well, j-l's tie is probably the most damning evidence - to create a tie 2 minutes before deadline is certainly not something a villager would do. But well, being myself somewhat caught off guard by the unusual deadline, I think the excuse of not realizing what he was doing holds (for now). He's already among the top candidates today, I don't think there's any need to push him higher for now anyway.

The thing is, there's no much to go on.... storm/arky could be waffles looking for an easy lynch today. They could also be simple villagers suspicious of j-l, which is also logical

I'll follow alynkio on bear, see what the village thinks of another candidate - we still have a bit more than one hour to decide where to go from there, after all

Vote beartjah

Ha :D I think it was to vote the person with the lowest number of posts in the thread which was Sleepy when I checked it

Someone (Panzer?) once argued that 3 was the ideal number of candidates to have.

Yes that was me! I'm glad people remember that :D Although that was for 17 player lites. I haven't done the math for 13 player lites but I still think 3 is probably a pretty good number

I don't like any of the main cases today. The new deadline is confusing, I was also very surprised when it passed, so I believe JL's claim. Storm is being voted for what reason again? I like her RP. Dedonus is voting me for not moving from sleepyhead but asking others to move, which I don't think is so wrong. I liked my vote but we did need to have fewer candidates. My vote on Dedonus is okay (the votes on Beartjah are for the same reason) but as others have pointed out pretty much all of the Aedan voters from yesterday have a very plausible villager reason for their vote.

Anyone up for a switch? I'm thinking the quiet deadline yesterday was because a) the villagers don't all know when deadline is yet and b) the wolves who usually notice this earlier were probably happy with all the main candidates

So any person that voted early yesterday then left and wasn't themselves a target of voting at any point would be a good vote

What do you mean when you say "the new deadline?" Do you mean that the deadline is different from the other WW games? Just asking because I believe the deadline in this specific game has not changed. We only started a day late because not everyone posted in the thread to show everyone was here.

Who are you thinking of switching to?

Storm seems to be paying attention, so probably not a good idea to kill him.

I guess that's as good an answer we're gonna get. Seems likely enough, neither a wolf nor a villager would stand to gain much by drawing attention like that

I'd be up for any of the throwaways from yesterday. Doesn't really look like there's any strong cases against anyone so might as well go for someone we little info on. Out of them Sleepy made the least posts thsi game(and none of them were really giving any meaningful thoughts to the votes either)

Shall we try to change up the votes? This pending outcome seems bad. Quiet people are dangerous. It makes it more difficult for me to figure out where they are from, and therefore where I am likely at.

I mean, people keep saying let's switch to someone else without actually suggesting whom we should switch to. I believe Beartjah was the only person who made a suggestion for Sleepyhead.

Quality over quantity Sir!
