Hi !!

So I have a question about my current game...

Spain is a junior partner under Portugal. Portugal as well as Spain has Colonial Nations. Suppose I annex Spain. Who inherits Spain's Colonies me or Portugal ?

Second question. Suppose I annex Portugal. Do I inherit Spain and its colonies or do they become independent ?

First Scenario: You get Spain's Colonias
Second Scenario: If Spain was a Vassal, you'd get Spain, but Junior Partners are just liberated. So basically, take Spain first.

hey, i need an eu4 mod that prevents Ottomans, Russia, spain, Portugal etc. from joining religious wars because this ahostorical "feature" destroys 9 out of 10 campaigns.
Are you talking about the league war? Historically Spain participated a lot and the Ottomans and Russia gave some support. And how does that destroy 9 out of 10 campaigns? Are you only playing in the HRE?

Often times when I get a +1 stability pop-up and I am at 0; I will first buy one stability and then click the popup so that I basically get to 2 without inuring the 50% positive stability cost. I was wonderiing if it is common for other player too?

Also, if you are 0 corruption and an event fires to lower corruption: Do you debase your currency first before clicking the popup?

For stability it depends on my situation. Afterall you're still paying 100 admin For debase pre absolution always doing it.

For events that pop I am unable to bump my stability and it states its due to the event that's pending. I do debase when i get -2.00 corruption whether from legalism or that random Ulema event.

Can someone explain why I don't have colonialism yet? I've gotten an explorer and gotten to South America but no credit.

If colonialism has already spawned (and I would expect so in 1572), you need a colonial nation to gain progress towards the institution - discovering the Americas only spawns the institution if it has not yet already appeared.

What constitutes a colonial nation? If I can form a state is that good enough?

I never had that problem. Did you try it in the current game version?

A colonial nation is a subject country that automatically forms if you fully colonize 5 provinces in the same colonial region(or if you conquer and core 5 provinces). There is a colonial region map mode in which you can see all the colonial regions and trade company regions.

How do exiled armies work? I just lost a war because my armies became exiled after I whitepeaced one of my enemy's ally. It's really frustrating because sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Is it another broken feature?

I'm pretty sure that it is not broken. From the wiki:
An army will become exiled under the following circumstances:
  • When a war ends, any army still in territory it doesn't have peacetime access to is exiled. This prevents it from being permanently stuck in a place it can't get out of, as well as preventing several exploits.
  • When a war begins, any army in a neutral or hostile province that it only had access to through a military access agreement is exiled. This prevents troops from being placed outside their country's territory in preparation for war. An army in uncolonized land or the territory of a subject or ally won't be exiled, even if the ally isn't called into the war.
  • When a native tribe migrates, any armies that happen to be in the province it migrated to at the time and don't otherwise have access are exiled
Your situation is the first in the list. What the wiki doesn't mention is that it can also happen if somebody is peaced out of a war and armies get exiled if they are left in provinces to which they don't have access anymore.

Thanks for answering! In my last game I was playing as Austria and I was the Emperor and I never was exiled from any provinces, and I certainly didn't have access to all of them. But maybe it's because I was the emperor?

If the emperor is at war, he and all other participants of that war have access to all provinces of HRE members.

I'm playing as Oman into Mughals to complete the Third Way Achievement and feel like I'll be running out of time to convert all the provinces I need, I have 5 missionaries. I've gotten Jerusalem and Medina, and have Religious ideas taking the remaining Sunni provinces are a problem for me even if some are in New world or Held by colonizers. I'll probably do a separate post showing screenshots. But my questions are

1. How can i increase my missionary strength i may be overlooking I havent done a one faith and usually just take humanist to negate unity problems

2. Besides Rome is there any other way I can get more missionaries

3. Unifying islam decision requirement are listed strange do I need to hold all Muslim provinces to unify or just the ones listed.

This covers all the Missionaries you can get

Remember to use the "Propagate Religion" ability in Trade Company Regions.
