I have heard rumors that there is a mod that allows the campaign missions to be played as Flashpoints during a career run.
That sounds good. The more flashpoints the better.

Is there such a thing, or did I imagine in a drunken fantasy?

Yeah... I really wish the creator of that Flashpoint(?) would release it to the rest of us that don't want to wade into the RogueTech pool and deal with the mess.

It would seem to me that Flashpoints are likely to have been designed to a standard format, to ensure compatibility with the projected updates.
I haven't looked closely at the making of them, but I would assume that they are mainly just wrapper for map references, text/image files for the briefings and lance types, all of which are from the stock game.

I haven't tried RT, but is it likely they have added anything to break this?
I'm guessing someone must have tried...

RogueTech might require changing some of the missions, however. As an example, RT's FP campaign doesn't include the tutorial. One reason as to why this is that was given is that the tutorial asks for the player's Blackjack to move a certain distance. A RT Blackjack, though, can't move that far (because RT's movement is more TT-like) so it breaks the mission. Now, I doubt that's the only reason they didn't do that mission, as it seems easy enough to work around (assign the player to a special Blackjack for that mission, one that can move far enough), but it's one example of how something relatively simple can cause problems. RT just changes and adds so much stuff.

Plus, if it were me, and I were doing the campaign as FPs for RT, I'd incorporate weapons, mechs, and gear that RT adds to the game, rather than sticking with the default, core game stuff. It'd fit in better that way, and be more interesting for the players.

BTA also does the campaign as a series of FPs.

also there is a mod called Career Leopard Start.
does exactly that....best bit is there are FPs to get the ARGO

and the author of Hyades Rim has made a BUNCH of Fps (and is making more) for his mod that he has also made standalone for those not using his mod
