Hi,

I'm trying to add a new mech, the KGC-000b Royal King Crab. Basically I reckon the King Crab is the best-looking mech in the game, and it's a bit sad that it's outclassed by the other assaults like the Atlas 2, Annie, Bull Shark and Highlander B post-1.9. But I digress.

I've created the mechdef and chassisdef files by tweaking the base KGC-0000 files. I also modified a couple of itemCollections so that the new mech will show up in the black market. It mostly seems to work; I can buy the mech, and use it in fights. But when I strip down the mech and try to sell it, I run into problems.

  • Either the KGC-000b or the KGC-0000 won't appear in the list of mechs to sell: only one, not both

  • Instead, another mech immediately below the King Crab will be duplicated. Eg the Locust-1E will show up twice, and if I sell one of them, it affects both.

What am I doing wrong?

it may not be anything your doing. Normally you cannot sell mech parts only scrap them (unless that has changed.. I honestly haven't been paying attention to that sort of detail because I mod!)

I suspect another mod is causing the issue, specifically the mod that you have that allows you to sell mech parts. This is my best guess. I don't see anything in your files to cause an issue, however while skilled an expert I am not.

I'm curious as to why you think he's selling off the parts. "Stripping a mech" is what it is called when you remove all the gear from a mech and put it in a storage, a necessary step prior to selling it. Which means he's trying to sell a completed (but empty) mech, not a salvage part.

This. For some reason, I can either sell my KGC-0000 chassis, or my KGC-000b chassis, but not both.

Here's some screenshots to show what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/eaS1HHd

You can see that I have 3 regular King Crabs and 1 Royal King Crab in storage, but only the former appear in the list of mechs to sell. Instead of the KGC-000b, the LCT-1E appears twice.

Also, I don't have a lot of other mods installed: Edmon's Alternative Reputation, Mission Control, Retrainer, and my Marauder Slot Fix.
