None of the off map powers links above seem to work.
Apologies, I've given up on those for now. Once I've a working version of the main game I can maybe move onto fleshing those out a bit more.
I've fixed the alternate start file so technology actually spreads on Shattered World.

Hi, love the mod and it has been working fine since last night but wanted to continue a save game today and it, as well as the 3 previous autosaves going 3 years back have suffered a ctd a day into the game regardless of date. I started a new game and the same thing happened as well. All these crashes have this line in common in the error log.

[spritetype.cpp:652]: Texture gfx\interface\minimap_area.tga have forbidden compression, have you tried DXT3?

I assume this is causing the crash but i am perplexed as to why this suddenly became an issue today and not previously.

There is also this but i assumed this was another mod.

[road_to_titus_progression.cpp:285]: Failed to read reward status from storage

Any help would be appreciated.( Full error log is attached if you wanted it)

I have no idea I'm afraid, I've never seen that error, nor has it caused my game to crash.
Are you using other mods with this one? Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

As you said, i don't think it was that what caused the game to crash, but removing the minimap in your mod seemed to erase that error showing up regardless.

Thanks for the reply.

An incredibly petty update here whilst I'm working on the title history and characters, but I just thought I'd let you all know....History is fucking complicated, fml.
That is all.

I have a quick question for you, any help would be greatly appreciated.
When setting the title history, at certain points in history a ruler from one kingdom (say Mercia) acquires another title (say East Anglia), now since they are the same tier as kingdoms (technically Empires in this case) is there any way to set one title as Primary so when you reach that point in the timeline, the whole of Mercia is not set as EAST ANGLIA?
Currently it seems random as to which title the character is assigned as primary, if inherited at the same time upon succession.

In the title definition, give the most prestigious one dignity = 500 or something, and count down from there. The value can't be huge or negative, but as long as they're in a reasonable range, the AI will make the highest-dignity title its primary.

That seemed to do the trick, many thanks.

How's the progress going?
I've sorted out the history for Wales up until about Owain Glyndwr, England is more or less done up until William the Bastard turns up, I've begun Scotland's great omni-shambles which is starting to take shape now too. Ireland is as of yet, untouched.
I had a bit of trouble trying to find information on the earlier periods because its all a bit vague, yet as you progress the information gets more and more clear which speeds things up a great deal.
I'll update the zip file for you to have a gander at.

It was a really nice mod but Holy orders are taking the land, how can I block them?

Can a person set the patrum scuta mode for this mod?

Thanks.
I let it run for a bit in observe mode and I noticed the Holy Orders acting strange, I'll have to add that to the list of bugs and get around to it at some point.

While I'm working on the history stuff, would anyone like to have a look at some other areas of the mod? Some of the areas on my 'to do' list that need attention are:

I need to sort through the events to try and filter out anything that happens away from the British Isles, but keep the stuff that is relevant.

I also need to try and rig up something to simulate the viking incursions and the Norman invasion during a play through.

Culture shifts might also need an event to happen, the various Anglo Saxon cultures merge with Norse and Danish to form Old English at some point, and that in turn merges with Norman to create English. Similarly Scottish is formed from three other cultures too.

Buildings - this is a large area I was intending to overhaul quite a lot, I didn't like just Castle/City/Temple options as it didn't quite fit with the setup of this mod. I had managed to fudge something so you could demolish a building and then build something else in its place. The plan being, to replace the castle with the manor (the manorial system was in place during the Anglo Saxon period) but for the super rich/powerful, you could build a fortified building. I can give you a more detailed run down of this later on if you're interested.

If anyone has any thoughts or ideas on how to accomplish these goals - or if you want to have a crack at it - let me know.

I have had the odd nibble in regards to help with some of these areas, and I'm not the kind of man to ignore a nibble. I might put together a shared resource with information and plans etc on to help with delegating elements to people. It's been a while since I've had to work with other people remotely (the joys of working alone freelance lol) so any suggestions on how to proceed would also be greatly appreciated.

My recommendation is to use GitHub (with the Desktop client) and Discord for collaboration, and possibly Trello for your to-do list.

I'll echo the GitHub and Discord. I haven't used Trello myself, so can't say there.
