Gamepass Location of files to mod

Anybody know how to get the local files in order to mod them?

Unfortunately, you cannot access Game Pass files whatsoever so you can't mod it yourself (or even look at the files). Microsoft are very particular with their security . You can still download mods though.

You can't. Sucks. Guess we'll have to rely on our Steam comrades to do all our modding for us.

You should be able to just subscribe to them and be logged into your PDX account in the game launcher. Some mods like The Bronze Age you have to download manually.
