Just wanting to get some input, but it looks like it's not possible to modify the marriage selection screen to add same-sex marriages. I've tried modifying the marriage check triggers to allow it, modified the marriage interactions to allow it, as well as generating the recipient list from different lists (all courtiers, all parents(mother single)), modified the marriage acceptance weight so anyone would accept, even tried to create a separate gui for testing this. Near as I can tell, same-sex options are simply not displayed by MatchmakerInteractionWindow. Anyone know if this is the case, or if I'm just missing something here?

Completly Moddable.
You have to modify the vanilla file character_interactions/00_marriage_interactions.txt though, and find all the lines for all the cases where "sex_opposite_of = scope:recipient" is written, and either edit that, add another condition to take same sex marriage into account according for sexuality e.g. or if you make a larger mod editing doctrines and tenet, adapt it to what you want to do.

Key point is, you can and if you just want to marry anyone without care for potentially breaking the game, you just have to delete said lines. I also think it's a whole other file for consorts but the lines to edit are the exact same.

One of the first things I tried, alongside editing scripted_triggers/00_marriage_triggers.txt. Near as I can tell, MatchmakerInteractionWindow appears to be hard-coded to not show same-sex options. It might also be coded to not show options that wouldn't accept, that's why I altered the acceptance chance to always be in favor.

What I do know and have found is that it works for consorts, you can have same-sex consorts, there is actually a mod on Steam Workshop that allows it. And I assumed it was the exact same logic for marriages - although I hadn't tested it yet. In any event, my apologies for that mistake, and for not reading a thread whose name didn't seem like the same subject to me.
