Can't play multiplayer for some to me unknown reason.

I've not been able to play this game's multiplayer reliably. Usually when I turn the game on I just get the multiplayer options to host or join faded out and the sentence "Multiplayer service currently unavailable. Relogin to Paradox Plaza or try again later." Needless to say I have tried to relogin but that didn't help. I have been sporadically able to play the game in multiplayer when I got "Lucky" and the multiplayer selections actually worked, but most of the time they're just blanked out. It's really frustrating knowing how much money I paid for the game for me to not even be able to play the multiplayer with my friends properly. Thanks for any insight and help.

We're very sorry about this issue which has affected some MS store/Gamepass players. It is high priority and being worked on!

The only thing we've been trying is if you use a different Windows user login - does that help at all?

I'm not trying to play the game through the MS store, I have the game bought on Steam. I did have the MS store gamepass version installed on my PC before to test out how it runs but then I bought it on Steam instead, the multiplayer selections didn't work with either of these games.

Oh really? Not sure I've seen that then ... have you looked into firewalls you might have? In Windows Defender the game, Steam and the launcher should be allowed through the public and private domains.

CKIII and Steam are open in my firewall, I made sure of that

The game launcher is allowed in the firewall aswell.

I have since found out this is a back-end issue and affects Steam and Gamepass users. Sorry about that!

It will be fixed in the not too distant future - I don't have an actual date at present though, I'm sorry.

Nothing for you to be sorry for, if anything this is good news because this means that it's something that's being worked on. Thanks for all the cooperation so far, I hope it'll be fixed soon enough. I've been able to play the multiplayer through a VPN for now however I have no intentions of paying for the full VPN just to be able to play the game. Once again thanks for all the assistance.
