I see the EUIII Collection icon under your avatar, so it's registered already.

Not sure what drop down box you refer to.

Expansions can't be selected seperately. They get automatically installed (assuming we talk about a Steam download).
IF you only want some specific earlier version, then you can try to uninstall first and then reinstall, but by then already with expansions unselected in the games' Steam properties-DLC section. I only see two expansions there available and don't know if it works what i just suggested.

If you got the Collection as non-Steam, then i don't think you have an option at all and why would you want that in the first place ?
If that is the case, then a more frequent user of this forum than me can maybe give a more satisfying answer.

The drop-down box is for mods.

The collections normally install the latest version, not each of the individual older versions. If you bought the expansions separately, you can usually make a completely new installation for each of them, and then choose which of those to run, but I don't believe that's an option in a package deal.

Turns out i didn't remember the EUIII launcher looks correctly.

Shows that i haven't played it in a while..or rather not via the launcher.

I think EUIV allows you to pick which DLC to use in case you don't like one that you purchased. EU3 is different, you can't pick what to use except if it's an earlier version with no later versions. If you have the last expansion you need all the expansions that came before it. The game builds on itself
