Questions about the achievement Gazophylax This!

I am attempting to complete the achievement Gazophylax This by completing the mission Poetic Justic as Thrace.

After destroying the Antigonid Kingdom, I chose the option to imprison Demetrios. However, the text box "Poetic Justice" in the mission tree says "already bypassed" with the result that I cannot select it. I am unsure if this is a bug or if there is an event tree to imprison Demetrios.

1. Is there a specific event where Demetrios is imprisoned by Thrace?
2. I have repeated stack wiped Demetrios' army without capturing him. How can I increase my odds of capturing Demetrios in battle?

Any help is appreciated.

I've the same issue, except the Antigonid Kingdom is called Asian Kingdom and the ruler is Antigonos II. I don't know how it is possible to achieve this mission, as I don't see any other mean to imprison him... I'm wondering if is because Epirus was conquered by Macedon ?

In the attached ironman save file, I am playing as Thrace using the Legacy of Alexander conquest cb in a war against the Antigonid Kingdom. The Antigonid Kingdom has one territory left. Once the Antigonid Kingdom is destroyed, you can no longer complete the task in the mission tree despite the fact that you can bring Demetrios into your faction and then imprison him.

I also had this problem! The mission was bypassed as soon as the Antigonids were imprisoned.

I have tried repeatedly wiping the antigonids 1 levy stack over and over to no avail hoping to imprison him. You cannot seem to capture nation rulers this way, although governers you can...

How did you manage it? I've tried directly imprisoning them, integrating them, inviting them in then imprisoning them and constantly wiping their levies in this new patch with an old save... None of it worked...

Edit: finally got it done on a new save. Had to invite him in then imprison him

The achievement will update to whoever the current ruler is when you annex them. I believe i managed it with the first leaders son, but its been like 6 campaigns since then so i can't remember fully.
The key for me was the it had to be a save started in 2.02. For some reason the save i had from 2.01 had extra modifiers on the achievement and when i tried imprisioning him the mission would either bypass or switch to a new character i was suppose to imprison. If i just imprisoned the next person another would be replaced, and so on until it told me i needed to imprison myself.

Demetrios must be alive,dont need to vassalize.

Same for me, tried it with my 2.0 save with Thrace. You have to start over a new save sadly !
