Again, a better decision UI would fix that, we don't need to dumb down a core mechanic because something is overly convoluted.
there is no mechanic changed.

what changes is the presentation of events,

no more spam of events using:

Code:
set_country_flag
has_country_flag
clr_country_flag

I'm not really sure what you're implying... Should Paradox never release anything new again, since it would be hated according to the prophecies of old?

A sequel of anything has to deal with two problems:

- We're buying it because we liked the first one, but this is too different
- We're buying it because we're bored of the first one, but this is too similar

I'm not joking; this really is why "sequels suck". They have to meet contradictory demands. Some sequels succeed, even brilliantly, but there's no winning formula.

It has been announced and I do not hate it yet.

Thanks for the info. We'll see how this stands or falls.

I'm not sure why you think better presentation of content and easier requirement modding would require focus trees instead of just more modular flags... that most modern PDX games already have.

I hate the graphics already. Looks like a mobile game...
Keep in mind that it has only just been announced, and that this is likely placeholders. Plus, I don't think we saw the game in 'paper map' form yet, which they said is there when you zoom all the way out.

The issue with "can't judge till you play it" is that by that point they already got your money. Gonna be honest, if the arouse my interest enough, I might consider pirating the game to find out if it's any good

Thats why i said until i play it, not until i buy it.

I'm not speaking of pirating either, i was able to play CK3 and Imperator on steam at free weekends so i could at least test the game before deciding to buy them or not.

On the positive side, I'll take a Vic 3 where I can actually read the UI in my native screen resolution. Given the hundreds of patches and DLC for Paradox games I'm unimpressed that official support for high resolutions to increase the font sizes and resize the UI boxes never materialised for Vic 2.

What, did, I, tell, you, all
Everywhere on these forums your negativity. Its bringing me down. Why are you so obsessed with spreading the most cynical and negative outlook on Paradox and its games?

If Vicky 3 is a succes, you are probably going to hate it. You would like to see this company and its game fail, don't you?
