No. Orenburg, the Ural League, Magnitogorsk, and the Dirlewanger Brigade are their own region, the Southern Urals. They were some of the first Russian warlords to be developed, and they were the focus of the first demo for TNO. However, while they do have focus trees, their gameplay is limited to conquering each other. There's a mechanic we'll see at the regional phase where either West Russia or West Siberia can annex them (maybe peacefully, but usually through violence).Everytime I read this AAR I wish my employer fires me so I can buy HoI4 and spend days in this mod
so Orenburg and Ural is not a part of Western Russia?
Well that sucks, I do hope that you will replay Komi again sometime soon after TT comes out.Unfortunately, with the announcement that Toolbox Theory will be releasing in three days, this AAR as it exists will be abandoned. However, if there is interest, I could replay Komi up to the same point.
Glad for the information, what exactly does toolbox theory add?Unfortunately, with the announcement that Toolbox Theory will be releasing in three days, this AAR as it exists will be abandoned. However, if there is interest, I could replay Komi up to the same point.
fwiw I would be interested, although I probably would also be interested in that if you decide to start a new TNO AAR as wellUnfortunately, with the announcement that Toolbox Theory will be releasing in three days, this AAR as it exists will be abandoned. However, if there is interest, I could replay Komi up to the same point.
The main feature is a complete overhaul and drastic expansion of the economy mechanics. Debt and GDP are actually gonna matter now, and there's going to be more domestic policies, taxation, and additional societal development meters. Civilian and Military factories are being replaced by a shared pool of "production units," and special buildings can be constructed to improve states' output.Glad for the information, what exactly does toolbox theory add?
Ooooooo, this all seems quite interesting. I would indeed love to see more Debt and GDP stuff! The main feature is a complete overhaul and drastic expansion of the economy mechanics. It also gives a few countries some cosmetic improvements. Some SBA content has been rewritten, and Long Yun's National Protection Army has been un-gamered (Complete with a new happy ending upon defeating Japan). I THINK Sablin's story has been rewritten to de-chungus him, but I don't know if that made it into TT or was pushed back.
Berezniki, the Free City of Kostromo, and the Partisan Republic of Aldan are all being cut.
The Order of St. George is getting content (last I heard). In England, Chesterton and Stirling are getting 100 days of content.
Brittany's existing content and black market mechanic have been cut and replaced with skeleton content pending a full rework. Burgundy now has three different endings, and most importantly the AI can now experience the Burgundian Collapse.
Skeleton content has been added to dozens of countries in preparation for later updates such as Penelope's Web (France, Italy, Turkey, North and West Africa) and Europas Narben (Eastern Europe). Some skeleton content is also coming to South America and Central Asia.
Most excitingly to me, the ideology pie chart now plays host to roughly 90 "subideologies" grouped under the main ideologies, each of which has a detailed description. Authoritarian Socialism has been renamed "Communism," and Libertarian Socialism has been renamed "Socialism." BurgSys has been demoted to a subideology within the newly renamed funni purple ideology "Esoteric Nazism."
I personally would enjoy a Komi Bukharina run.To be clear, I will absolutely be doing a new TNO AAR, and almost certainly set in Russia. A return to Komi and Zhdanov is one option. Another would be Magadan, if I can do a limited mod that removes Amur's swastikas.
If I do a different Komi run, it'll be a while, especially a Bukharina run.I personally would enjoy a Komi Bukharina run.
I would indeed love a Magadan run, but getting rid of the Swastikas could be an issue. Personally, I would love to see a soviet run, maybe WRRF?To be clear, I will absolutely be doing a new TNO AAR, and almost certainly set in Russia. A return to Komi and Zhdanov is one option. Another would be Magadan, if I can do a limited mod that removes Amur's swastikas.
