I can't quote my sources, since it's private, but there are rumors circulating that Paradox is about to continue Imperator's development, to be announced allegedly relatively briefly.

Don't want to be the one spreading rumors, but did anyone also hear the info?
Man, I hope your sources are right. I really do.

Honestly an Imperator revival is def possible, considering PDX changed its CEO recently and apparently the new (or rather old) CEO wants to focus of grand strategy niche again.

Still, nothing is guaranteed so don't keep your hope up. No hope no disappointment after all :)

Hopefully they can at least fix all the outstanding bugs. Shame they left the game in such a state
The problem I see with the current state is about the voids, not necessarily the bugs.

Umm is this related with the sooner Vic3 release so Paradox will have free resources to restart the development of I:R?

Agreed. I've been thinking about how great a state this game is actually in, at the moment. The fundamentals are great - the only thing that is dragging the game down for me, personally, is the trade system and the stalled progress.

Lets put it this way: imagine if EU5 was 80% Imperator mechanics, ported over to the EU period, 20% EU4's mechanics (trade, religion, exploration). That'd be an awesome game.

Snow Crystal is not dismissing nor confirming the rumour.

He is just saying that there are no sources for it. And I may remember well how he used to troll us.

Meanwhile, Invictus has just published its new DD making the mod open source for all to test:

It's still crazy. During me we ask someone to come and give us news and the only comments from the people of paradox are either to reprimand us or to discredit the person who posts a comment without perhaps knowing anything about the person who posts himself. . Me it is beyond me.
If it's to post this kind of comment, dropped like that without explanation, thank you but we'll do without. Afterwards, if you know more, we'll listen to you. Otherwise it's not worth it. We're already pretty taken for idiots so thank you for not getting into it too.
