Hello there.

At the moment I'm working on my first mod, that includes new military clothing for the spaceelves.
Based on the rank of the leader it adds stars and medals to the uniform.

My problem is that the game just checks the leader outfit when they change job or there is movement in there leaderpool.

This means that e.g. rulers just get their correct outfit if an election starts. Monarchs never change clothing. Scientist show the correct picture if they are attached to a ship but just there in the ship screen not in the leader pool (just when they change science area or you recruit a new one).

Is there the possibility to add a monthly event that checks the leader clothing ?

Just a guess, but if that's the case, how about creating and then immediately killing a new leader through an event that triggers monthly.
Thanks for your reply. This could work but just for leaders from the leader pool. So the current ruler wouldn't be affected :(
 
You could try a similar thing with the ruler. Create a new leader, assign it to the ruler slot via:

assign_leader - Assigns target leader to the scoped country/fleet/army/pop faction/sector
assign_leader = <target>
Supported Scopes: country fleet army pop_faction sector
...then replace it immediately with the old leader.

Not sure it'll work (might have side effects such as resetting the election timer), but I think it's worth a try.

/edit: Well, it triggers the "Leader elected" popup, so that won't work very well.
