I got the base game and loving it. I can only buy one every few months so is any expansion pass "better" than the others, simply get it in order or are there DLCs you can skip? I'm aware of the sale hence the question. Thx

I bought them all in order when they were on sale, I recommend waiting for a sale and buying them in order if possible, or out of order if not...
All in they're all quality content, but it adds up to quite a bit if you buy them all at full price!
(Personally I don't agree with paying full price for any games and avoid it outside of system launches when you don't have much choice but to pay full price...)
You can't go too far wrong with any of them as they add nice things to the game - it's more the games' various patches that have made more divisive changes to the game that you occasionally want to avoid to finish an existing playthrough or that make big changes that may partially mean relearning how to play the game.
In closing, as said it's all good stuff .

Personally I would buy all of the DLC when you can. In terms of order, maybe have a look at the wiki and see what each DLC does and decide which ones you value more over others (eg you may want megacorp for ecumenopoli or synthetic dawn for machines)? If the wiki doesn't answer all your questions about certain DLC, I'm sure someone would be able to answer it here.
