Thank you for reading! I'm currently not well, as I mentioned in the ACAs thread, so updates are slow for both my AARs right now.
Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks. It's a condition I've had for some 15++ years, giving me daily nausea and frequent puking. It's just worsened a lot lately, making me too sick to work and having too little energy to do much due to lack of kept food and drink.

Just a heads up, I plan on ending this AAR soon. I have content for two updates and by now I feel like I have come to a point where it's a chore and the game gives me little to write about. Not sure when I will write the ending, but one or two updates more, and then we are finished. :)

All AARs come to that point, even mega-campaigns, but it is still sad to see them go nonetheless

The Empire – and the galaxy – were clearly in for a long struggle. The Gray Tempest were mighty, albeit weak compared to its raw numbers, and it spread all over the galaxy. The Emperor decreed the Poland had to take out the L-Cluster so the Tempest could not reproduce, fast. The fleet was continuously built up, as Poland was too weak yet.

At home, trouble found new venues, though, as archeological digs – going on all over the Empire to hopefully secure an edge – backfired. A space dragon awoke from the digging after the Rubricator in 2384 and two years later, on November 28th, 2386, the planet of Konstantia was no more. Billions, obliterated in an instant. The system was shut down from travel of any kind, immediately.

Poland had gone through quite the transformation the last few decades. Slavery was now only for non-humans and Triech. Laws were liberalized. Cooperation across the galaxy was the word of the day. In 2387 Poland joined the Star Assembly as a full member, and quickly worked to increase the coherence, cooperation and strength of her new-found galactic union.

In 2392, the fleets of Poland again started an offensive against the Tempest, destroying all Tempest navies encountered. But the fleets could not advance before more was known about what would be found on the other side, the admirals said. The Emperor decreed that exploration ships should be sent into the unknown as soon as possible, with the fleets close behind.

The ensuing battles were costly. Very costly. But slowly, Poland advanced. All while the other races and civilizations struggled, the Triech and Makaru almost gone. The same with other civilizations across the galaxy.

In 2397 Poland built a shipyard in Terminal Egress, the entry point within the L-Cluster. Quickly it was enlarged and strengthened. Poland could now also repair and upgrade their navies there, while securing that no new Tempest fleets could enter the galaxy at large.

The same year the Emperor decreed the alien species the Lox’Ungrak-Va should be uplifted, to further Poland’s goals.

The Emperro rwas not amused over his independent neighbors – both allied and non-allied – taking territory lost to the Tempest, and originally belonging to his vassals, but he had his hands full in the L-Cluster at the time. Much territory was lost all over the galaxy in any case.

On June 20th, 2400 Emperor Niezamnysl died of old age, with his son Boleslaw taking over the government. He worked hard the next years to enlarge the Star Assembly, getting the Human Caretakers Intrerface into the fold in 2402.

The same year a massive attack occurred all over the L-Cluster, forcing the Empire back to Terminal Engress. There the forces of the enemy was forced to flee, while the fleets of the Empire rebuilt.

But in central Polish territory, at the border of the Triech and Makaru, a Tempest fleet invaded and slaughtered all inhabitants of the planet Stanislaw, forcing the Emperor to divert half of his fleets back to the main galaxy. Billions died.

In 2406 the L-Cluster was decreed cleansed of Tempest fleets. People all over the galaxy rejoiced. But they did so too soon, for it was later discovered one last system, the central core it would turn out, was still in Tempest hands. As Polish fleets left the L-Cluster to rid the galaxy – and first and foremost Polish lands of course – of the Tempest menace, the L-Cluster was in increasing danger.

The Emperor raged when he heard that his commanders had missed this important piece of information and ordered all fleets to go to Terminal Egress to be ready for the final blow. He also managed to get the Yldar Union into the Star Assembly, further strengthening the union.

But it was too late. Explorer ships showed the Grey Tempest’s main system was heavily guarded, consisting of at least 12-15 fleets of 33k strength. Even with the high kill rate Poland could show for, this was too much. The fleets needed to be built up – a lot. And while the future of the galaxy assembled in Terminal Egress, the fleets emerged from the core system. Soon, all systems in the L-Cluster except Terminal Egress was overrun and again under control of the enemy.

It was clear that while Poland would ultimately win due to her immense power, said power was not enough to break the Grey Tempest quickly. It would take decades, perhaps more, perhaps much more, to break the nanites’ reign of terror.

But Poland, the Emperor decreed, would be the Champion of the Galaxy, for however long it would take, however high the cost. All she needed was time. Time, and – it seemed – the grace of God.

But Poland would be ready.

Poland has suffered many tragedies in this harsh and cruel galaxy, but they will endure against any threats.

Congratulations on finishing your first Megacampaign! I'm glad to have been along for the ride.

Thanks. :) And it took less than a year! I started this project late June 2021.
