Corporate Empire. Habitat corporate branch first building destroyed after newest update, power production tanked. Replies on my other post were unhelpful and frankly another example of how disgusting social media is. Been playing this game for a very long time on ps4. Used to crash constantly. Not happy with the game mechanics. Population growth, building slots on planets/habitats removed, influence production seems off, and this is what I noticed within 10 minutes. Love the galactic guardianship update and nemesis pack. It just seems like I just get used to playing when you update and change things again. There is no real opt out option for updates on ps4. Plus they are package updates. When people pay for things, plus each new package $$, they tend to get a little upset when their empire at 2498 timeline is not what it used to be. I'm all for "fixing" game play, but perhaps allow an option to opt out of new game mechanics not related to crashing. Hopefully this was "constructive" enough for you devs.

New to Stellaris updates? This has been the case for every dlc-release patch so far. They usually warn that in-progress playthroughs may be affected negatively and recommend starting new games to get the full experience.

I've resumed playthroughs through such patches for a while now and I'm actually amazed at how little gets truly broken. Most is solvable by adjusting your planets.

This time around, what hurt me the most was how trade did not generate consumer goods anymore because some of the policies are not available to my empire anymore. I just built the extra factories needed to balance that out and I've been rolling since.

So yeah, it's a bit confusing at first, but not insurmountable. And why is Stellaris the only(?) game messing with older saves? Because it's the only(?) one updating its mechanics to improve gameplay even years after release.

New to their updates? No. As I said in my post I've been playing for a long time. As for improving game play, awesome! Except it isn't always improved now isn't it. I'm also very familiar with dlcs. Seeing as some of the issues i have with game play mostly came from an update and not the dlcs i don't see the correlation. Thanks for playing.....
