I have tried all the fixes from another thread, but Victoria 3 is still failing to launch. I am attaching a DX Diagnostic and a Screenshot of what I get in the launcher for reference.

The other thread was entitled Victoria 3 Error and was assigned the following to end its url: victoria-3-error.1559384. Unfortunately, attempting to add a link keeps getting my posts flagged as spam for some reason so I can't make it easy on you, I apologize.

I have tried all of the fixes noted in that other thread to no avail.

Has the game ever run for you? Or never yet?

If you run Victoria3.exe directly, what happens? Any error show?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Vic3/pdx_settings.json .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Vic3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.log

Hey Andrew. The game has never run for me. When I run Victoria3.exe, I don't even get an error message. It just... doesn't launch. Like I've watched Task Manager while I have it do so but it just doesn't do antyhing. The JSON for pdx_settings was giving me an error so I'm uploading it as a .txt file instead. As for the logs folder... It doesn't exist. There's no logs folder there at all. I did run attach a DXDIAG to the original post. What I've posted there is the result of the save all information button.

It really looks like the game is not properly installed in some way, like Victoria3.exe is not a complete or valid file. If you run a Steam Verify operation against the game does it find anything to fix?

If not, what if you make a new Windows user on this machine and log into it with that? Same problem?

Alright, I just reverified that the install was correct. I've also added another user and attempted to launch from there. The first time I launched, it closed the launcher like it was going to work, but never launched the game. Before attempting again, I verified that nothing titled Paradox or Victoria was running via Task Manager and then attempted to launch it again and got that error message once again.

Sorry, I should have checked earlier. Your CPU does not supoort AVX
so will never run this game.

Minimum:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-3250 or AMD® FX 8370 (AVX support required)
If you don't have a machine with supported hardware, I hope you can still get a refund from where you got the game!

Oh there it is. I was just looking for AVX on there with find and not clicking on independent things. Alright well that answers that question. Thanks for the help Andrew.
