I have gone into the game and found my mouse in invisible. It works fine but it is a pain trying to click anything. I tried going into my game as France, but it still was not there. I have tried changing the fullscreen mode in both the Paradox Launcher and the game itself. Neither of which did anything.
If I wrote this wrong my bad, first time using this forum.

In Windows are you using any mouse software or settings, like Mouse Trails? If so please set the cursor to the default Windows setting before starting the game.

I've never seen anything else cause this.

Has it always been the case in this game for you? Or it was okay up to some point?

Our similar game Cruisader Kings 2 is free to play on Steam, do you get the same problem there?

What if you make a new Windows user and log into Windows as that - does it still happen?

This only began around 3 days ago, when I went to play the game. I have it on Epic Games. I'm installing Crusader Kings 2 as I write this, and I will test out using another user after it finishes downloading.

This problem might be related to the epic version. A few people have posted on reddit in the last few days with the same problem. One of these people was actually using the steam version, but had the epic version installed and uninstalling the epic version of the game helped for them.
@Jamface662 Have a look at the settings for eu4 in the epic client and at the settings for the epic client in general. Maybe there is something which is different between your new user and your old user. Maybe it is related to an epic overlay or something.

Disclaimer: I'm not working for Paradox. I'm just trying to help people.

I've seen reports of this with CSL on Epic only, no other game. My best guess is it relates to some change in the Epic client but I haven't been able to prove that.

@Jamface662 Unload the Epic client entirely then run EU4.exe by itself. Does this still happen?

Here's what I've tried:
- I tried running the game from the .exe file.
- I verified the game in the Epic launcher and tried again.
- I uninstalled then reinstalled the game.
All of these failed. I bought the game through the Epic Games Launcher and when I try and use the Paradox Launcher without first going through the Epic Launcher, it does not register that I own the game. This is not a new problem, however would this stop me from being able to launch EU4 without the Epic Launcher?

Did you first close the epic client and make sure that it is not running in the background and nothing epic related is listed in the task manager?

How did you start the paradox launcher? You have to start it via dowser.exe which is in the folder where the game is installed. If you start the paradox launcher.exe you get the standalone version of the launcher which doesn't know about your eu4 installation and eu4 is not available for standalone installation.

I'm sorry its been such a long time since I've replied. Tried both of those but unfortunately, my game still does not show the mouse.

hmm... There were several posts about this problem around the time when you posted this, but I haven't seen a post since then. Maybe the other people found a solution or it was fixed by an update. Is your epic client uptodate? Maybe AndrewT knows a solution by now, but otherwise, you could try to search for other people with the same problem(e.g. on the eu4 subreddit) and ask them if they found a solution.

As it happens with one Windows user and not another on the same machine, it must be that first user is running some app or utility getting in the way, has some Windows setting causing this (such as mouse trails), OR is corrupted.

In that user go into the Startup screen and disable everything in there and reboot, does it still happen?

THANK YOU SO MUCH

Did you find what app or utility seemed to be causing this?
