Good evening Kindred,

Today the countdown begins! We’re revealing the first of four playable clans available at release in Fall 2024 in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 today. Following launch, two additional clans will be made available in DLC: one giving you a new way to experience the main-game and another offering a completely unique Seattle story.

No huge surprise in which clan’s boot is kicking open the door first… Don’t get too comfortable though, there’s always something unexpected in World of Darkness.

Nicknames

The Learned Clan, Rabble, Punks, Hipsters, Prometheans, Rebels, Philosopher-Kings, Hellenes

Who are the Brujah?

The learned clan, the clan of radicals, the clan commonly misjudged as punks looking for trouble, the Brujah are guided by passion and dedication to an ideal. And if they have the supernatural strength to back that passion up, who are you to argue? Rebellion unites their blood, whether that rebellion is of the subtle lend me your ears kind or the fists out, fire in the streets sack of Rome kind is down to the individual.

Brujah powers enhance your speed and power

Playing a Brujah in Bloodlines 2

If you’re a player who leaves the shadows to the cowards, knows the frontline is where the fun is and idealistically rebels against power, Brujah is your clan.

In Bloodlines 2, Clan Brujah will offer a brutal melee playstyle with its abilities (in Vampire: The Masquerade, known as Disciplines) getting you into the fray and rewarding you for staying there. Exemplified in the video, our Brujah uses charge to gain a burst of momentum, grab an enemy, drag them with you and body slam them into a wall. Don’t assume you’re limited to charging just one enemy either. In early 2024, we’ll be back with a complete list of Brujah discipline powers you will be able to use in game.

What’s next?

Brujah is the first of four clans available at release in Fall 2024 and next week, we’ll be back with the second playable clan. The following week, we’ll be on Thanksgiving hiatus, before coming back to reveal the third playable clan.

No, all of this is factually incorrect. They aren't leaving out anything. The full game is developed on the budget for the full game. The DLCs are developed separately on a budget for DLCs. If DLC didn't exist, that extra content wouldn't be developed at all. Having plans to make DLC content is very different from the DLC content being fully developed and ready to go at any time. For example, Paradox is releasing Legacy of Persia on Thursday. When they announced the DLC bundle back at the beginning of the year, no part of Legacy of Persia existed except for a concept art. They didn't just arbitrarily not include it in the release of Tours & Tournaments.

There's no point in responding to me. I'm not taking the bait.

If there's not customisation and diversity it's not bloodlines?
And I hope there will be 3rd person camera view as well.
Will there be many costumes and outfits outside of clan identity fits?

The old pitch for the game before the changes was going to bring Lasombra, hopefully that is still true.
Also Ministry would be amazing, I am guessing the four will just be temere, ventue and tore though. malk and gangrel for dlc?

I like the design and the teaser looks good.

I hate brujahs with all my heart :(
Game is not looking good, a clan spot wasted already.
I want: Tzimisce, Lasombra, Hecata and Ministry

Sorry to ask, maybe i don't get it, this is just a reveal, right? There is more information to come i hope.
Like, what will it be like to play with a Brujah, how will it react to the world differently from another clam and how the world will react to it?

Yes, we'll reveal more about the Clans sometime after the gameplay showcase in January.

Four clans?

Let me guess: Brujah, Toreador, Ventrue and Tremere.

I'm hoping that we get a nice surprise like properly done Nosferatus or Malkavians, or maybe even the Hecata.

And for the love of god, don't turn the clans into DLC.

Sad to see the Developers are choosing to ignore the overwhelmingly negative feedback of the fanbase over the choice of a voiced and named protagonist, but I would be lying if I said I'm surprised they chose to ignore it.

I must admit ...
Possibility to play Lasombra would be intriguing.

But what clan they would replace? o_O

We only have 4 places ... one of Lasombra discpilines is Potence (if i remember corectly) ...
Meaning we would waste very precious space for clan that is allready half (or 1/3 ... 2/3 if we also get Ventrue) covered.

Doesnt sound like good deal in the end. :-/

Lasombra elder would basically require a story edit just for them. Go to sleep hailing the Sabbat, and then you wake up a Cammy.

I'm betting they replace Tremere with Banu Haqim. Still blood magicy, lets them write they are doing something new, but doesn't materially change things.

Are we even Cammy?
I mean ... as far as i know, we could quite easily be independend individual.

Also, there was antitribu people since dark ages ...

Good evening Kindred,

Greetings Kindred,

Can’t wait to see what qualifies as “unexpected” with TCR… : ) Judging by this and other more recent communications I can see this corner of the World of Darkness is good hands.

Because the gamer will be the grace/leader/speaker regardless of which Clan they choose.

Let the baseline Clans offer to layer some exciting nuances on top of what is already baked into the game.
