We are seeing so many problems on the Epic edition of this game right now, despite the game itself not changing for months! I wonder what Epic have done ...

Hi, thanks for the tip! it worked but on a different user account. i can only play it like that.
On the problem Windows user, go into Startup settings and disable everything, and reboot.If you still get this problem then, this is likely a corrupted windows user profile.
If it does help, there is some app or utility running under that user causing this problem to this game.

This kind of thing does not exist... Starting a new game should not be link to a profile or what so ever if the game is running...
When you cannot load a game then the "i" on the main menu does not work neither... so it's easy to know if you can play or not.
About my case now is that I managed to make the game works, then I reinstalled Windows, now the game does not work anymore...
So it's a bigger issue than a profile.
I installed Pradox Launcher, it does not even detect the game... Only the default launcher from inside the game folder is detecting it...

Well clearly it does, as the OP of this thread confirmed. Is that your situation too, that the game works under a new Windows user but not the default one? If not you have an unrelated issue - please start your own thread if that is the case.
