What about Holland- Suriname & Indonesia?
Holland is now hard-coded to stay a monarchy and release Indonesia as a puppet and Japan jumps on the opportunity. Japan Naval invasion AI is upgraded by me so no event troops needed. Germany can use this chance to add Holland to the alliance

Yes, I agree with you about Kaiserreich. I also agree that it would be a major pain in the butt to do all the research needed for a 1920's scenario. I sort of hope there would be a misc option that allowed the player to remove all ministers but the Head of State and the Head of Government.

Good luck and have fun with your Frankenreich.
The Alpha version is out. The only randomness left is the USA Civil war and some army doctrine events. If I missed a 1% chance event during building the mod please let me know

The USA... I plan to turn it into a monster dictatorship that seeks to conquer the entire world after its civil war. Only player intervention will stop the USA from winning its Civil War.

So will the SCW have a canon ending in this mod, or can any of the factions win and it has to be the authoritarian version of said faction? like if the syndicalists win they have to be under totalism or if Long wins it has to be the Silver Legion coup and MacArthur remains a military dictator in the former US?

The player can do whatever they want. The AI will try to have the USA win and conquer the world. Kaiserreich needs some final bosses

I can probably do that. Just copy and paste the Darkest Hour Full events in there right?

Why did the KR team remove mobilization events? Did the supply costs cause people to get damaged divisions? Because we can easily remove that
It will not be that easy because you must change drafted/expert army to mobilization/demobilization policies like in darkest hour full. And must delete all commands in non mobilization event files that move the professional army policies because that would change the mobilization policy and would cripple and break the event cycle.

Hi, thanks for the mod, but 50% for research seems like a typo.

Did an initial playrun with Greece and it was very nice. The Romania, Serbia, Greece alliance annexed Bulgaria and I then kept the few spoils and the core provinces. Then the attack from Egypt and Kurdistan on the Ottoman Empire led me automatically into war with the Ottomans where so far I have taken 1 province and am at a stalemate with the Egyptians rapidly advancing from the south and the Kurds slightly less rapidly from the east.

Wonderful and looking forward to playing more. I haven't quite established how manpower works in the absence of mobilisation - does this relate to changing the policy slider for the type of army (I have been wary to touch this so far)? I am trying to balance keeping manpower for offensives on Ottomans with building more army to break the stalemate.

Great job! Would it be possible to add more leaders for minor nations to make them more playable in the long-run? Also, where may I extend the end date as this looks like playable for more than the contemplated 30-year timeline. Thank you very much!

I will work on that tonight. I can extend the playable game years. I believe it's in scenarios folder the kaisereich text file. You'll have to start a new game because your save file keeps track of the end date. Unless you can edit it.

Ottomans are hard-coded not to accept peace. Take Istanbul and as much land as possible. Egypt will annex the rest. If France defeats Germany she will attack the Balkans next. With Russia in the alliance.

I think I'll have Russia leave the alliance and unite with the orthodox countries.

Adding leaders from vanilla should be simple. All in one mod has a ton. I should integrate some stuff from it.

I'm shocked no one has ever caught that in original kaiserreich. Easy fix

Sounds like a 2-4 hour job. Search all event file contents for "mobilization" and add a #. Wonder if I have to mess with any tags? I swear Germany had its own custom mobilization

Current timeline in a hands-off Alpha game:

#####Spoilers Ahead######

####It is just a hoi2 mod tho#####

#####Last Chance#####

Persian civil war is slightly random. Haven't tested Socialist Persia yet as they rarely win. Considering allying Afghanistan to Persia after they lose their war against Delhi.

Italian Civil War is slightly random. The socialists can't "win" because Italy is able to retreat to Sicily. Germany always chooses to send aid

Ethiopia and Somalia attack Italian Africa.

Libya defects to Egypt's alliance.

German China or AOG loses a Civil War with Republic of China. Germany doesn't react.

USA Civil War results in USA or CSA victory. Canada usually gets destroyed after this.

Mexico always jumps in

Japan attacks Phillipines

Germany divides Austria among her allies. Gains Hungary as ally.

Holland makes the Indies their puppet

Japan invades Indonesia. Germany doesn't react.

Mongolia begins her conquests.

Russia conquers central Asia.

Norway and Sweden go Socialist and unite.

Russia begins couping the Caucasus nations. Germany cuts off Russian trade.

Switzerland starts losing land to France and Italy. Germany doesn't react.

Serbia, Greece and Romania destroy Bulgaria. Germany doesn't react.

Poland unites with Lithuania

PolandLit crushes and annexes white ruthenia.

Ukraine demands the Ukrainian population from Poland. They accept. Mittel Europa is once again secure.

Russia conquers Mongolia and demands their far east land from Japan. Japan accepts as they have better targets now.

Japan and Russia do NOT ally. If you ally these two it is so overpowered its not even funny. I have to prevent this possibility haha.

China unites with Yunnan.

Qing unites with the orange fortified China.

Chinese Civil War begins.

Japan declares war on Qing.

At this point if certain conditions are met China can inherit Legation cities AND Qing to finally fight Japan 1v1. I worked hard on this chain.

Communist India usually wins the Civil War and attacks Siam.

Japan will not surrender unless you land in Tokyo so this seems to be a forever war for China. Until the USA rebuilds...

If Japan wins, she will not make puppets in China. Give those 125 infantry divisions something to do.

France will start ww2 in 1940

Egypt begins war against Turks.

Greece begins war against Turks.

Russia joins France. Attacks Finland.

Entente attacks Germany, but not France and internationale.

Italy will join Germany due to earlier "correct" choices

Britain invades Denmark

Ottomans eventually lose their multi front war.

Germany proceeds to get destroyed and retreats to Africa. German troops in Italy fight on.

Romanian Civil War moved to 1942 or later because it can ruin Belgrade pact with a forever stalemate war.

Great stuff and appreciate it! I will try another playthrough with Greece shortly, now knowing the Balkan Pact leads to war with Bulgaria and shortly followed by war with the Ottomans so i will fully focus on army and infantry for the initial years in preparation for these wars.

Thank you also for being willing to integrate more leaders for minor nations to allow micromanagement (and gaining of experience) for all of your army, navy and airforce without limitations. One further request please, if possible - is it possible to add an event that disables nukes (ie. allow you to conduct the research but nukes simply stop being available from the moment you enact the decision)? I usually extend the research date for nuclear research well into the future to disable it but would like the optionality of allowing a nuclear war or not depending on how my save game progresses.

This mod has definitely reinvigorated my interest in DH as a long-time player and will provide feedback and support as much as I can to help improve this great project. Thank you once again!!

If you want to disable nukes for the entire game you remove nuke = yes from the relevant technology ID in the text file. I can provide that for you. I'll do a Greece update for you tonight.

Coming in a couple hours... Greece leader expansion, 1999 end date and alternate history Adolf has a successful life in the army. I believe he is much better suited as a general than a commander in chief.

Merry Christmas. You get every All-in-one military general that Greece has. Fixing their portraits is on the to do list. Allinone didn't used the old 1.04 format for leaders and it drove me nuts for 3 hours why I had 72 errors in savedebug.

Hi redwolf, thank you for the update - this is a wonderful Christmas present! I wanted to report on my game and just share 1 more bug with you (just in case it impacts other nations too).

Bug: The Test/Research tech tree that leads to Turbojet Engine never unlocked for me as secret tech so I am stuck with planes up to 1943 technology. I have done advanced research on Experimental Tank, Heavy Tank, all range of Artillery technologies and generally all up-to-date with technology in 1960.

Another small bug: On 1 playthrough with the Balkan Pact, Serbia annexed Bulgaria and shortly thereafter an event fired on whether I handover provinces I had gained to Serbia/Romania or not (I chose the latter). I then tried the same scenario again and Romania ended up annexing Bulgaria - however, I had taken over the provinces of Skopje and Kuzmanovo and they were automatically given to Serbia without giving me the option to only keep the retained provinces I own at the time of annexation. However, I was given Alexandroupoli in return which was another of Greece's core provinces and which I did not occupy at the time of Bulgaria's annexation.

Thereafter, the Ottomans were defeated by the Egyptians who shortly thereafter were defeated by the Russians. I am now in a Cold War peace lull and builing up my navy and airforce as I consider trying some ahistorical scenarios and also test AI naval invasion, AI aggression etc.

Congratulations on the great mod once again. I will be here testing and playing it to provide constructive feedback where possible. I will also play with the above patch once/if you can let me know the situation with unlocking secret techs for Turbojet Engine.

Thank you!!

I can't recreate your Romania bug. Could make Serbia 1v1 for Macedonia? The history file can tell you if you haven't overwritten it

1. Which nations are playable and recommended to play besides Germany?
2. What about Ottomans or Poland? Are they playable, do they have any content or events for territorial expansion? On paper, both looks as interesting secondary powers in this scenario.
3. On which nations are you going to focus in the next updates?
4. Thanks for the mod and good luck with future development!
