how do i ensure the zoning shape file displays each specific zone type's colors when i open the shape file in qgis?
Firstly, make sure you enabled the color field in
Carto >
Custom Export > (Click
Show Advanced button) > (Select
Zoning in
Select Feature) >
Non-spatial Fields >
Color:
Additionaly, if you're using
Zone Color Changer mod by TDW, you can enable the
Use Zone Color Changer's Colors option to overide the vanilla colors:
Next, follow the steps shown at below:
1. Export your files, and then add your zoning file into the QGIS.
2. Right click the layer, and choose
Properties... option in the menu.
3. Navigate to
Symbology in the sidebar, and click on the
Simple Fill.
4. Right click the tag icon with
ε symbol to activate the rule. Then left click the icon, select
Edit... option in the menu.
5. In the Expression String Builder window, type
"Color" in the text area.
6. Hit
OK button (in Expression String Builder window) and
Apply button (in Layer Properties window).
You should now have the zoning cells in their colors:
