Console: Xbox series X
Update: Console edition update 11

I am unable to unlock the inheritance achievement. The requirements are fairly easy: Pass on an inheritable trait to a child.
Playing on Iron man.

See attachment as proof. I have produced a child with inheritable traits, but still no pop.

Hello, the bug still seemed to be present. Is there anyway you can unlock the achievement for me?

It is the last achievement I need.
Im more impressed you unlocked everything else. A large chunk of the achievements aren’t unlockable at the moment. Probably aren’t going to be able to unlock it on that save file. Glass half full, when they do finally put out a patch, that is quite easy to recreate.

You are right. It would be easy to recreate. Just hope the game will still be on Game pass by the time a patch is rolled out.

It is just a bit frustrating that after putting many hours in really hard achievements, a easy one stands in the way of completing the game.

This achievement exist? I thought it was my imagination XD
Because i only see them in game achievement's tab (with hight %, rare), but in Steam or Paradox Wiki this achievement does not appear.
But, one question. Your child's trait, one of parents have them too?
Because i only not try this posibility, have child with one inheritance trait, but without parents have it. Maybe only in that case the achievement is pop up.
One time i have a daughter with "healthy" inheritance trait, when my ruler and my spoose don't have them, but is appear in play run after i load them. And in load games the achievements is disabled on Xbox with Game Pass Cloud. I only can pop up an achievement if i play in one play run.
That is reason for second question. How you get all other achievements? "Play until the end" too?

Your solution is worth a shot. Any tips on how to produce a trait without having it myself?

As for the other achievements: I only played with existing characters, on iron man ofcourse and as soon as i met the requirements the achievement would just unlock.

Firstly, i thinking that hight % of people have this achievement, should be easy. I try: my ruler with trait + spoose without= child with (same) trait; no get it. My ruler with none traits + spoose with trait= child with (same) trait; no get it.
But only i not try is both with no traits and born child with trait, because is small probability to produce, and need time and luck. And i can't get any long time achievements.
Sometimes characters can "produce" childs with "surprise" trait (inteligent, beaty, healthy etc). I noticed that a few times in my court, or when i looking for spooses with traits and i see if their parents have it or not, somtimes they don't have it. Or maybe they are bastards XD
Or, if character with trait have child without it, maybe his grandson have a more posibility to gain trait? And we have to look not for the Genius but for his son or daughter XD
Anybody can confirm this for sure? I try, with a lot of save/loads (if you save 2-3 weeks before born), with 2 NPC with 6 traits (3 max traits of each one) have a 3 max trait child, and is randomly, i have trouble to calculate percentage and influences.
But, maybe, this and "Knowledge itself is power", is considering old achievements (in CK3 wiki is don't appear in the list), and is only could get it in the past.
But with long time achievements, it seems is only my trouble... i play on Xbox One, via Game Pass Cloud... and i only can pop up achievements if i play in one play run. If i save game and exit, the achievements is blocked for this load file. I can't get all long time achievements.
I try it a lot if time, sometimes really angry when i met the requirement but nothing pop up. And finally i noticed that is for exits.

I am trying to produce a child with a triat. There are dynasty perks that will help this, but so far no luck.

Oh yea it is really frustrating if the achievement doesn't pop. But in your reply you mention reloading a save. I only play in Ironman, this is required for unlocking achievements. There is no reloading in Ironman mode. So maybe this could solve your problem?

No, is not solve my problem.
I sometimes reloading (when "reloading" i mean exit from game and load save file) for a testing a few things, but in theory other achievements is can activate without Ironman.
I always play with Ironman, but playing without ironman neither achievements is poping up to.
But... if no reloading, how you play for long time achievements? Like "Play until the End"? Playing one playrun for 125 hours without turn off the console? I play on Xbox One, via Game Pass Cloud, and if i play more than 10-15 hours, the console says: "F...off", and show me: "Disconected from a game session in the cloud"... and this thing takes me out from the game and blocks achievements and i need start a new game.
You get my same idea. You get a child with trait, with parents without any trait. But the achievement is not poping for you, right?
You play this in one play run with no exits and loads?
Is a first posible problem what i'm thinking.
The second, is because this achievement (and "Knowledge is power", actualy, you get it in May of 2023, in your first play) is not showing in CK3 Wiki. I thinking this two achievements is too old, and one day, when consoles version is updating, this achiev desappear.
I checked players, on Xbox, who had this achievement, and all of them had it in 2022 or in beginning of 2023... i sure, this achievement has been blocked in the same time, or 1 or 2 months before, when did you start playing this game.
My condolences. This game is the most frustraiting thing on the Earth.
But only for that, for trying all ways, the developers should unlock this achievement for you and must give you a Gold Edition of the game with all DLC for free ;)

I downloaded the game so I don't use cloud gaming. You are right there is loading a game, there is just no manual save option on Iron man.

I started playing in may 23. Look at this: https://www.trueachievements.com/a355687/inheritance-achievement#648849
Some people are unlocking it. You can see it under " recent winner". Another factor that makes this even more frustrating.

I actually like this game. I bought the full version for PC. It would be great if the Devs could pitch in on this topic, maybe we are missing something maybe they can help.

Yeah... i agree with you.
Seems that this achievement is only can see on Xbox.
This list have a little different achievements. I think those will be appear in some next update for Xbox.
I interested in this achievement since mid summer, when i think what i should unlock it, and i start check people who unlocked it. Later i realized that those who have unlocked it have done it a 1 or 2 years ago. And i think the % of achievement on Xbox was more than 25%, now is less. Seems like nobody unlocked it after spring of 2023, of maybe before.
I like this game to. But its need more attention and control to fix all old bugs, instead make DLC with more bugs.
But i don't like the lack of professionalism from (some) developers. When some people doing bad his work.
I never reed a book with grammatical mistakes (or when few words in line are desappear), because some "testers" can see this errors and solve the problems before the book is printed, or in the bad way, take back all printed books, and printed them other time after fix all errors.
And in the restaurant, if you order something, and chef or waitress mistakes anything of food or drink, you can tell it and they resolves the problem in the moment (almost) and don't ask more money for this "bug fix" ))
But in Paradox... they sell an unfinished product like "perfect" version, and plus sell unfinished add-ons that maybe fixes your unfinished product. Without any interest on make great game, fix issues and don't even respond to bugs reports.
I don't remember other games have this problems... all games have bugs, more or less, but one thing- is a technical and hardware problems, circumstational errors, bugs that is possible to avoid, issues who not crucialy affects the game, and those who not still makes players unhappy for one year... and other thing- is "human" bugs, with text, bad code entrance, menu navigation, bad achievements system... things that you see just start and play the game, and still present in all your play experience... and still here more than 2 years since release.
Seems like people who make this game, and console version, never play this game more than 30 minutes.
Maybe one day this game will get all the love from gamers that it deserves.

PD. I know what you feel... i don't unlock one last co-op achievement in Batllefield 3. Hard to find people to play co-op campaign, and only one time i play this mission to final, and only we have one mistake shoot in last step (we needed syncro kill a few groups of enemies to not activate the alarm... more than 10 years ago, and i still remember it ;)

Not a console player to be honest.
But wouldn't sayyid trait be one of those inheritance traits since it's passed 100% from father to children.
You could try too see if the achievement unlocks with that trait.

Are you sure of this, because is a "fame" trait? Do you bet your money?
But, are you read all posts of this thread?
The problem is not with "We don't know which trait is needed", or "How we do to make inherite a trait?".
I try many different posibilities. And i get all inherite traits related with health.
But, i don't remember if my playthrough with muslim carachters was with saves or not, and i have a 1% of hope, and i play just now to check it, and wait for 4 childs with "Sayyid" trait.
And no, the achievement is not poping.

I just get this achievement.
Because now i can get achievements when i load a saved game, before is all blocked.
I don't sure how, but seems this achievement works, a half way... I play large time, with 6 dinasty rulers, and a few inheritance traits.
But i get it now... when my ruler has a "Genius" and "Fertile" trait + wife with "Beautiful", and my 4th children born with "Healthy", "Attractive" and "Fertile". Other childs have "Intelligent" or "Attractive", but don't have "Fertile" or "Health tie line" traits.
Maybe is for "Fertile", or maybe is for born child with unique trait, when parents don't have it.
In addition, in "Dinasty Legacy" i open "Blood" line until 4th slot, "Elaborated ascendance", with selected "Fertil" trait. (Maybe this "dinasty slot" trait is a trigger for achievement?)
My first character i create in ruler designer, without any inheritance traits. And last 6th kid of this first ruler (woman), has a "Healty" trait too, without any parents have it...
But, i start play in december (version ~1.9 Lancelot?), maybe the achievement is "activated" in last update, 1.10.2 (Quill).
I wish it works for you too.
