Place your bets if this DLC is coming out in 2025. Lmao.

@TinyWiking are they still telling you this is coming?

How is this even a thing at this point. It's time for Paradox to issue players a refund.
I've deliberately not replied here as I've not had anything to say (and I technically still don't) but I've kept up to speed on it and I've read all your replies. What I can say is that yes, it's still in the works and yes, we fully intend to release it (just as Fred stated last year). Your next question would then be "when" and that's something I can't say as I honestly don't know. When there is information to share either me or one of the community managers will do so and I'll also make sure to update this thread.

Sorry, I know you are trying to keep up hopes, but at this point I will only believe it when it comes from someone who actually gives us something that they can show, even just a basic concept of what is being worked on. Why is that so hard for Paradox to do? I think I can safely say that we are all tired of silence on this, and given that the top folks of Paradox are admitting they made mistakes with projects in recent years, and need to get back to what they are good at, I think it would be refreshing for a team lead for this to come clean and tell us what is going on.

Thanks for the info.

That is literally insane - and insulting to your players.

Just issue everyone a refund and we will buy it when (if) it actually comes out. There has to be an expiration date on the "it's still coming" wishful thinking.

This is exactly what needs to happen, although I might go a step further. Paradox should:
1 tell us the honest truth about the state of the game, which is clearly that there is not even enough progress to post a dev diary on even a vague concept of what the DLC might be.
2 APOLOGIZE
3 say that the game is finished, Issue the refund, pull the expansion pass and promise of a second DLC off the steam page,
4 anyone who has supposedly been on the dev team and has done nothing with this project all this while and instead kept sending one person to keep telling us it is still going to happen should move on to other things (interpret that how you will).

With respect to the comments you made on my other posts @TinyWiking this is not a discussion this is a group of clueless people being left in the dark. Do you mean to tell me it's not even possible to reveal even the most rudimentary details about the upcoming dlc?

Surely at this point it would be possible to say "yes the theme of this dlc is to add more quests, or to revamp combat".

We're all adults here, nobody expects miracles. If you've only got one person working on it, just be honest with us. I can't understand the secrecy.

Edit: I'm not getting specifically at you TinyWiking, I'm getting at Paradox. I understand you have to protect the people above you but unfortunately you're the only one here that I can aim my comments at.

It is not, no, because I don't have any such information. I do know somethings about it but until we're officially ready to announce this (as things may still change) I'm not going to say anything.

I can promise you it's not just one person, it's a real developer working on the DLC!

It's all good, I'm the only one talking about this project since we don't have a fulltime community manager right now. I get that a lot of you are frustrated because you want the DLC out already, we all get that, and it's even more frustrating when you've paid for something that hasn't been delivered. I know I sound like a broken record and I know that trust is a hard thing to come by when the project has been, ehum, "somewhat" delayed but I promise you there's light at the end of the corner, trust me!

So, I guess that light at the end of the corner is "Moon" light.....

It doesnt really count as a promise when there is no (even rough) idea of timing.

It's time to stop with the talking and take action - and that action is clear and obvious to everyone (even Paradox, even though they may not like it). Issue a refund to everyone that bought DLC 2 or the season pass and, when then we can buy it when it actually comes out in 20 years.

And the "Im not really the right person" misdirect is just insulting. Paradox needs to take responsibility (and take responsible action, above) for the mess the company caused.

It is literally that simple.

Regardless of whether they have a dev team, (which I think there is a clue about it on Steam DB per a steam thread), I agree that offering the refund for the pass is the good faith thing to do 100%. "Trust me" is nothing but empty words when it is not earned by action.

It's funny. If I were to download one of Paradox's games and say "I'll totally pay you at some point in the future, but I'm not saying when," they wouldn't be nearly so accommodating about it as they seem to expect their customers to be when the shoe is on the other foot.

November 2024. Place your bets now, gonna be delayed again or will they finally take the stick out of their ass and do something?

"Delayed" implies there was ever really a plan to release it in the first place. The point is, if they ever admit it's not going to be released, they have to repay the people they took money from, but if they claim to be working on it (and perhaps have a few people fiddle with the code for five minutes each month to keep it from being technically a lie), they can keep the money indefinitely.

It's called a lack of professionalism. Imagine if a student put off an assignment indefinitely and would not give even the remotest of explanations, or if an employee did the same with a work project, just saying over and over, "I promise I am working on it, I just can't tell you anything about it yet." Where would they be? We know where, but why does that not apply in this case?

And now, silence from Paradox for another six months until someone unattached to the project comes in and tells us he heard it's still coming (but cant give us more information because reasons) so that we have to wait another six months (and then another and then another and then another ...).

It's not even the 20th yet.
