I just asked this in another similar post... How long do you wait once it gets "stuck" before you force close the game? Because the game can freeze for large periods of time during loading. For many, including me, it is not permanently stuck and will unfreeze and continue loading once the issues resolve.

I am having this same issue. I have tried all the solutions other people have posted, drivers update, no mods, fresh install. Waiting to hear back still. I let it set up to 20 mins

i wait about 6 seconds for it to get "stuck"

I have this too, for me the issue is the region packs. They take an immense time to load. Eventually the game unfreezes and loads into the main menu, it only takes 5 - 10 minutes to do so.

i waited for 4-5 hours, it still stuck at 75%. idk if it's not long enough

Same happening to me. I saw a post yesterday that said to delete the .cache file because it was probably a broken mod. I did that yesterday, and it worked. However, tried to log in today and it's back to getting stuck at 75%.

For everyone commenting and asking -- If the game sits there stuck and frozen for more than approximately 10 minutes, that is not normal. If you wait more than 10 minutes and the game has not progressed in loading at all, it is not going to load. These are 2 different bugs.

And how do we solve it? Because I haven't been able to get to the start menu for 2 weeks, waiting approximately 6 hours each day to see if it starts.

I don't know where is it. I had been searching for it but I couldn't find it.
No worries. Follow these steps please:

1) Press the Windows + R buttons. This will open the "Run" dialog box.
2) Type %AppData% and hit Enter. This should open up a File Explorer window.
3) Navigate to: LocalLow --> Colossal Order --> Cities Skylines II. When you get to this folder, scroll down until you see a file named "Player". It will say it is a Text Document if you look under the "Type" tab. Copy and paste this file to your desktop (or anywhere else convenient for you). Do not drag it out of the folder or delete it.
4) Once you have it, come back here and send it in a reply post to me.

Now, I need you to go back to that same folder, "Cities Skylines II". Find the folder inside named "Crashes". Inside this folder, look carefully for the latest crash dump file. They are formatted "crash_20250406_0452" so find the most recent date and time. It is a .dmp file. As before, copy and paste to your desktop or anywhere else convenient. Attach that crash dump file in a post response to me.

Next, I will need your computer's DxDiag report.
1) To generate this report, pull up the start menu and start typing "dxdiag" (no quotes). After you fully type out all characters, an option should appear with the words "Run command" in smaller print underneath. Click on this to begin.
2) A window may pop up "DirectX Diagnositc Tool". Select "Yes". A window with many tabs at the top should appear. Look toward the bottom right-hand corner of the window for the button, "Save All Information ...". Select this option. This will generate a .txt file. Save the file to your desktop or other convenient location.
3) Once you have it, come back here and attach it in a reply post to me.

You can send all 3 files in one post. Just please hit "Reply" to this message in the thread.
