I think we should take it as a given now that flavor in CK3 is very narrowly scoped
-Scandinavian DLC is pagan-only
-Persian DLC is 867-only and with (next to) no Turkic content
-Byzantine DLC has nothing for Orthodoxy, South Slavs, or Turks
-Iberian DLC... well, that did cover Iberia pretty fully so there's nothing to say on that one :)

Slavic DLC I would bet good money will be Russia only. India DLC I actually predict will only focus on earlier start dates and Dharmic realms, and once again turn a blind eye to Turkic presence in the region.
Yeah, Fate of Iberia did a pretty good job giving content for the different cultures/faiths in Iberia. There are a lot of decisions to create unique realms; from Aragon, to Toledo, to Portugal. You can Avenge the Battle of Tours as the Muslims or do the Reconquista as Christians. You can bring back Basque paganism and (with the recent decision) Old Vasconia. Even the Canary Isles got some flavor with Achamanism and the Kingdom of the Canarias decision.

I’ve played in Iberia a lot more than I’ve played in Persia.

The Ghaznavids and the Seljuks were the biggest Persianate Turkic settled dynasties of the CK3 timetable and also they need more flavor being shafted in the Iran DLC
Again, specific dynasties don't get special content in CK3 beyond an event here or there. I agree that there should be more Turkic specific content but you're not going to get anything hyper-specific to a dynasty. Mamluks are the big thing missing in the Middle East right now and I would be surprised if they didn't form the basis of an eventual Turkic DLC.

They can offer also very hard runs in their rags to riches to stories, for Toghrul III in 1178 restoring the Seljuk Empire and Ibrahim in 1066 restoring the Gaznavid Empire.
Ibrahim always starts with the Conqueror trait if you have it turned on in the game rules so he's not going to be much of a rags-to-riches story.

Just sayin it wasnt clear from the begining. It took multiple people, some from this thread asking if we would get Turkic tribes for them to come out and confirm turkic tribes were out.Personally they should have stated at the begining this would be a purely Mongol dlc.
Fair, but even the first teasers seemed pretty clearly focused on the Mongols and Nomad mechanics, the first DD sealed it. Again I agree it sucks bx that means minimum two years until we get a fix for events that happen over half the map but it was clear that they made that decision fairly early on.

I feel like any Turkic focused DLC would be based around the Mamluks and that really would have to be the focus of the DLC. Like, a DLC that covered all of the steppe in depth would have to an expansion DLC like Roads to Power or All Under Heaven.
I really don’t understand Paradox’s decision here. This is the Steppe Nomad DLC. If we’re not getting Turkic flavor with the Steppe DLC, when are we getting it? I guess we could eventually get a “Western Steppe” DLC, but that doesn’t seem likely.

I can’t wait for the India DLC that only focuses on the Delhi Sultanate. Or the Slavic DLC that only focuses on Russia.
Imo best of both worlds would be an expansion where the flavor is focused on Turkic conquerors and the two big mechanics are fully expanded nomad/clan, nomad/feudal, and nomad/Chinese government types (there aren't any notable nomad/indian governments during the period also what's a good term for medieval non-muslim Indian governance? Maharaja?) and Mamluk/Ghulam mechanics. That covers Turkic Persia/Anatolia, Hungary, and India and also the Mashriq and the latter years of Delhi. If that ends up being the War year and combat is finally fixed, even better

They don't literally mean Seljuk content any more than the Mongol dlc is giving us Borjigin content. They mean content that would apply to Turco-Persian states, mostly the Seljuks, successors, and contemporaries (Ghaznavids, Turkified Ghurids, Mamluk dynasties)

The devs have mentioned that nomad/admin government are something they are looking into for AUH. As for the rest, that seems awfully spread out for a DLC even if the focus is on the Turks.

Mamluk/Ghulam mechanics
I still think a core expansion focused on Mamluks and Turkic related flavor is what we are mostly likely to get. I don't really think a nomad expansion would be part of a Turkic DLC, feels like it would fit better with a government focused DLC. That would also have the benefit of fixing all governments at once instead of one at a time.

Then they should say Persianate states or something to that effect.

Actually a nomad expansion would fit for a Turkic dlc, since now they only gave content for half the steppe region.
