I was wondering if this was a bug or if I'm missing something...
I have several unfilled court positions which usually I use the court menu (F5) to fill... but I haven't found anyone decent to fill certain needed positions. Then I read that you could assign a "direct vassal" as a court appointment. Of course, they don't even seem to be listed in the F5 list as they are at their own castle and not in my court. I get that much. So I find a Count who is my direct vassal who has a really good aptitude for a position I need and appoint them using the right click interface (aptitude before confirming says "good"), but then as soon as I check my court positions, the position he was apparently "good" for turns into "poor!"
Wrecking my game as I'm trying Ironman and now I have a pissed off vassal for being fired when he (the game) lied to me about how good he really was.
So my question... am I missing something? Or is this a bug? I read something about a direct vassal is "busy ruling" and has a -20 (whatever that means) to court jobs but I'm not sure I understand what -20 even means, except I did see 20 points aptitude per level which STILL makes no sense since the "good" rating went to "poor." If this is what is suddenly making him poor at his job, shouldn't this be included and apparent up front in the right click menu when you go to appoint him? It's very misleading?
