I'm not sure if this is a bug or not - but in the recent update today (July 9th), I started a new game and clicked on Western Guangdong. It has a fully employed lvl 40 Trade Center, but still an icon of "Autonomous Downsizing" due to unemployed staff, which starts occurring rapidly 17th September 1836.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

---

P.S. Is it just me or is the AI being very careful about building things? Jumping around between AI countries in 1843, all have their government building queue empty or at most half full (GPs and minors alike).

If you win the Brazil / Bolivia war asking for North Peru.
Asking for Transfer vassal and Liberate the other 2 provinces.

Once the war ends. While North Peru indeeds become a vassal of Brazil.
The event gets bugged and Peru turn himself into a independent nation the moment it annex the other 2 smaller countrys.

I Went to North Peru and when you're a player the game will work.
Problem this "fix" cost the AI running your country for 2-4 days.

Im having trouble posting on the bug report, so this is the only place where i can warn the devs.

Still very frequently getting the crashing to desktop on 1.9.6 beta even after the update. Very frustrating.
If you're loading a save from the previous beta and the CTD bug exists in that save, then it appears that it will keep happening; you're unfortunately going to have to start a new playthrough

Hello, is anyone seeing really low railways levels from AI?

It's latest update 1.9.6. via steam
London has like 2500 deficit of transportation, and only has 2 railways.
My railway companies do not make more railways for some reason aswell.
The AI doesn't seem to barely build anything in their government queue. A couple of years in and most have totally empty queues, except for the private queue. The demand for railroads must be a lot lower than before.

The AI is building hundreds and hundreds of unemployable buildings at once and destroying my infra, wtf is this:

OK. I actually checked other countries. I am #4 GDP per capita, GB is #40, France, Austria and Russia are all hanging around #150 - #200. Calling it quits for now. France is like 75% peasants in 1870.

I dont know if it's just me but sometimes the transfer money doesn't actually money i even see the the treaty be applied after the war but I wait a year and reload to see if that does it but nope I never get the money July 9 update

The building AI in this game must be an absolute nightmare given how this beta has gone through a good 3 or 4 completely different bugs regarding AI construction

Halving the construction cost of power plants seems like a big thing to throw in on a whim in the third beta of the sixth hotfix, but I guess every update has been broken in so many ways it's hard to tell what the balance of the game actually is.

Well, guess it's time to wait for another patch then. That's frustrating.
It is just an open-beta. This is to be expected. 1.9.6 is supposed to release later this week.

My main concerns (these are minor bugs) are regional HQs and a barracks bug (officers get killed disproportionately, and because no profession can be more than 10% fulfilled than the other, and because it needs to check its hiring targets, and can't hire too many more people all at once, even with enough qualifications, your barracks will take forever to fill back up).

the AI construction logic being completely and utterly broken in multiple different ways is way more impactful than these two.

Edit: Switched to some other countries - they are in fact building, but nobody's private queue is doing insane things like mine. Maybe it's an artifact of my 4 billion GDP and 20k in construction? Too big to fail work

GB and USA are both sitting on maxed out gold reserves and an investment pool they can never hope to build through. Idk if this is intended behavior, they should absolutely be building more construction sectors

In my most recent game (not during the open beta) they didn't. I never before read about the AI failing in such very basic functions. Therefore I expect this to be easily fixable, while regional HQs are a pretty major and new nuisance and barracks have apparently been bugged since 1.6.
