noticed, that a lot of users have problems with a spamming tribe-event, which occurs a massive stability penalty, i start a new try for a bundle of some hotfixes. this mod should working for ROME:Vae Victis with patch 2.1 and for ROME:Gold (version 2.1).

After patch2.2 cames out, this mod is no longer necessary. Thanks to all the helpers to make this temporary mod for a better ROME!

install:
1. expand the folder and the file from the archive to the mod-folder in your installation-path: ...eu-rome/mod/
2. choose at gamestart via launcher the mod "[VV2.1] Hotfixes v2.1x" from the dropdownmenu.
3. enjoy.

additional info for users of RIMP1.3.1:
after installing RIMP you can copy the files from this mod into the appropriate folder of the RIMP v1.3.1 mod and choose the RIMP mod on the launcher. both mods are working fine together. :)
please use the different eventfile for the no-culture-fix from this post: no-culture-fix eventfile for RIMP

additional info for users of Cursus_honorum 083b:
you find a merging instruction and some changed files here.

v2.11 of this fix can be called "the ambitions fixing". i added 3 changes to let ambitions work a little bit better - i hope so. ;)

after my absolute favourite mapmode is out for vv2.1 i checked the compatibility of RIMP 1.3.1 with this fixings. and there is good news: both working fine together!
so i can recommend users of the rimp-map, that they should take a look at the first post in this thread for infos of merging both mods.

After loading 2.11, The lines dividing the sea zones have disappeared!
any suggestions?

the mod doesn´t change any grafic parts of the game, so that can´t be the reason. have you made some other changes, esp. installing RIMP?

Nice work on the hotfix mod.

Another bug that seems to be annoying a lot of people is that characters in republics are getting title ambitions before they are even capable of holding that title. I suggested a couple of easy fixes in this thread.

Hope that helps in some way.

i´m not sure, if thats a bug or a feature. but if it makes trouble for some users, it should be changed. will be added in the next version of this mod. thx for your work.

It's hard to call it a feature when it increases Populist conviction before the player can even do anything about it.

ok, ok - its a bug not a feature. ;)
and now its included in the new version as FIX - and the results of my balancing checks as features in a version B. hope that helps...

Both mods are currently compatible (as of TCMv1.0). If you want to use TCM with the hotfixes, just install both as normal. Then, open your mod subfolder and then total_conquest_v1. Select everything in this folder (press Ctrl+A), right-click any file and select "copy". Go back to your mod subfolder, right click the hotfixes subfolder, and select "paste".

Voila.

Many thanks!

EDIT: Odd the Total Conquest mod doesn't seem to work.

I've uploaded a zip file that contains just the normal TCMv1.0 folders, no mod folder. Unzip this into your mod\Hotfixes_for_VV21 folder. Run the hotfixes mod as normal and the TCM should work as a part of it (yes, it's savegame compatible).

If you have any further issues, please post them in the TCM thread. I'd rather not hijack this one :)
