First I'd like to say thanks for a good mod.

Secondly I'd like to voice a couple of opinions:

1-The Leichte-Divisions: These units were used during the Polish campaign, but were later reorganized. (Correct me if I'm wrong) Is there any possibility of an event regarding this?

2-The '38 Multirole Fighter: What if that was to be the Heinkel He-112? Heinkel lost manufacturing rights to Messerschmitt (Me-109) and the aircraft was only produced in small numbers and only used by Heinkel factories' own defensive units, but if was nevertheless a formidable aircraft. I known this model was present in HoI.
This is just an opinion and might not be totally accurate historically.

3-Soviet Union DoW: I know this has been brought up early in this forum, but I have to get this straight; Is it the Vanilla-enigne that causes it? (Post 1945, weak allies)

4-Is it just my version or is the text file with unit names corrputed? The ä's ü's and ö's are missing. I'm a man for detail and it annoys me when I get one 1. Gebirgsjäger-Division after the Anschluss and produces one 1. Gebrigsjger-Divsion. Or the Blcher and the Blücher.

Thank you for the attention.

Glad you like it!

Sure, though we don't want to overdo units by events. But we have the motorization of certain units in already, so it's certainly a possibility.

Yup. Increasing the 'befriend' status to 100 or so of notably the USSR towards France seems to help though...

The file mistakenly was converted to unicode somewhere, IIRC. Easily fixed by copying the contents of the file into a new, ANSI format file. Notepad++ offers that functionality, for one. Should be fixed in the upcoming release though.

Thank you for the attention.
You're welcome! :)

Hagar what if this and possibly other things were added to the 'victory in X' series of events ?

That could cover things like - captured merchant and escort vessels, captured airplanes (I've just added some suggestions in the Beta testing thread) and possibly other things with the Leichte divisions and their conversion as pretty much the most important unit improvement (improvement not 'cloning' which happened in Wehrmacht after the fall of France) except the SS of course.

That could also trigger events evacuating some ships, technology (and later even some units) from conquered nations to fight another day or at least help the UK (merchant vessels seem most important).

As said before, I'm not deadset against it provided we don't overdo it. Personally I dislike the situation where bucketloads of units are created by event 'just because they were there in real life' that HSR tends to do...

Thanks for the answers.

Just realized that maybe I should have posted the it in the sticky thread.

Anyhow. When saving the unitnames file as an ANSI the game crashes when launching a new game or loading a previously saved one. Any ideas on why this happens?

The Light Division conversions (after Poland) and the motorisation of various other Infantry divisions (after the fall of France) are certainly "on the cards", as it were - they have been on my "to do" list for some time, but generally new events get lower priority than fixing existing issues, so they only see th elight of day in quieter moments.
