Did you read the thread? They have found a way to force the patch onto the Steam version.

Can someone tell me the directory that their regular non-Steam version of HoI2 is under...I'm gonna see if I can play with folder names to see if I can get the 1.3 patch to recognize that it's on my computer?

It's both of their faults for not caring that the game has remained unpatched on Steam for about a month now!!!

They are both pointing fingers at each other and not collaborating to actually take care of the problem. They are like little 2 years olds, so immature. Someone do something about it, I don't care who's responsible, but I want it fixed...it's making Valve and Paradox both look bad. This issue needs to be resolved!!!! Good Lord!

Shouldn't have to resort to unconventianal methods to patch the game (that didn't even work for me BTW).

Second ... i got the political message.
Third .. our goal here is to try to help users get their game properly patched... not to play political games...
There is a workaround to the issue.... so no one has to go "unpatched"
I am hearing now on the Steam forums that the patch is now in there. Any truth to the rumor?
YES it's in there... like Prego. At least 1.2, which is a good start. Seeing as the lastest patch is still a 'beta', I can see waiting on it.
