Is there difference in first post's CCIP and that latest link? Downloaded from first link and manchuria went to nat. china after I beat Japan as Communist China.. If those are different versions, is this bug corrected?

Yes those are two different versions I believe, since I cant really edit someone else's post, and starting a new topic seems kinda blasphemous. Imperfect, I know, hence my sig. That specific issue should be fixed in this newest version.

In regards to the Xian incident, I think the commies can forgo going through with it, so its not guaranteed to fire. And yes, annexing them before the event is a challenge, though not impossible.
 
I've never had them say no...I'm getting closer to annexing them before the event fires though :)

Also no one has fixed the problem with a Fleet Destroyer Air Pilot showing up as a Land General...I can NOT be the only person who has an independent general for each land unit and thus be the only one to have noticed this. :)

New to CCIP

Hi! I have some questions on CCIP.

1. Is this a working install order?

- installed DAIM without China and Japan AI
- extracted CCIP, GFX pack and then Clanjay's cooler China image project over install directory

2. I would like to try Communist China first. Any advice on that? Is there a chance to defeat some warlords before Japanese attack or should I wait until they invade and them help push them from the mainland, grab Manchukuo and then DoW NatChi? Naturally, I want to destroy both Japan and NatChi, enter the Comintern and rule the world! :)

3. Is the latest version v.1 compatible with SMEP? I checked the readme and the last version was v.72 and SMEP compatibility was still among TODOs.

Heh, another quick question (boy am i in this thread alot lately). Once NatChi wins against the JAP and NatChi DOESN'T join Axis does the Tripartite alliance still fire despite JAP being turned into a 2nd rate country. I know that when NatChi joins axis, JAP still does its stupid Pearl Harbor stunt, but in my current run through its up to late 1940 and JAP is just sitting around stupidly (no declaration of war going after the West Indies), while i'm teching up and building like mad as an Allied China. I kinda would like to roll in on em without having to declare war on em with the dissent hit. Otherwise if the Tripartite thing is kaput, i'll just DOW em myself and stomp em after my Cruizergs are up and running.

Edit: Oh yea, it also looked like Italy isnt in the axis yet either, i forget, did they join the axis before or after the Fall of France.
 
After usually or when it's a done deal....it's ok Japan didn't declare war on me till 1941 and I was in the Axis...morons, I'm really going to enjoy conquering them for making me have to wait on taking Australia

Also Clanjay you're improvement pack OVERWRITES the new Intel changes...I had to reinstall the 1.3 patch over after installing your graphics improvement just thought I'd let ya know :)

Which part exactly? I haven't really had time to look into every single part of the new update...

1. Yes that should work.
2. Try to annex NatChina's puppet ally before the Xian incident occurs. Then, just sit tight and wait for the Japs to reach you before helping the Natchinese, before launching a counter attack to take all that land for yourself, more or less. Haven't really played CommieChina, so I cant give the best advice there.
3. Having never looked at the SMEP files, I can say that I wouldn't have a clue. Installing CCIP over SMEP should mean CCIP will work, but I wouldn't know how much of SMEP gets borked by doing so. I would assume that they are not compatible.
 
Ruh oh, so i was supposed to install CCIP AFTER SMEP. Hrrmm... yea lots of things have been screwy (GER not starting WWII, JAP just sitting around with a thumb up their ass). Also i know for a fact that some key events just werent firing like the Molotov Ribbentrop Pact...
 
Well there is a mod that combined them all together but it hasn't been updated and it's not 1.3 compatible atm so yeah :)

Ok. I can do without DAIM. But don't 1.3 beta AI files overwrite any of important CCIP AI files if I install it again after extracting Clanjay's Graphic Improvement Pack?
 
I dont think SMEP and CCIP are compatible at all. SMEP events just dont fire off.

Edit: Also i think i may have found a bug, although i have a feeling its been reported already. With the NatChi Shanxi inheritance events it either happens if Shanxi gets overrun by the Japs or when NatChi/Shanxi rolls through Manchuria and controlling all the key provinces up there. I finally noticed after a bunch of games that when i take ground from the JAP/MCH that Shanxi has control of the territory, i used to that that was because i was using their cavalry to grab provinces (hence them always annexing MCH), while the inf follows behind. Now with tech team takeover i tried to take the vp provinces with MY units but it still goes under shanxi control. So what i did instead was using console to inherit Shanxi before taking all the mch vp sites so that "I" get to annex them and gain some of their nice tech teams, which would help alot before i get the consolidated china event. However everytime i annex manchu the game crashes withotu fail.

Its weird, i remember in one game on VH/VH, where the japs ruptured the front forcing me to fall back to the taiyuan-jinan line i got the absorb Shanxi event, then awhile later i counterattacked and got fading sun, and when i annexed mch then, it didnt ctf. Any ideas?

Not being an expert coder or anything I wouldn't know offhand why the game would crash. You could let the Japanese overrun Shanxi, and then push them out yourself so that you get to annex Manchukuo. Or turn off the tech teams option. Either way avoid using the console if possible, don't know what affect that might be having. Sorry I cant help much more then that. :(
