Can't start a game - CK Complete

Okay I got Crusader Kings Complete today from Amazon brand new and just installed it. The game runs alright up to the point where you select a Kingdom,Duchy,County to play and start. Yet once I have selected it to play and where their should be a loading screen, its just a black screen and it never loads. The only way out is to Ctrl+Alt+Delete it and close it down. Then there is a little pop up saying something about an exception. When I go into the game files I find a file called 'exception' and inside is this:

Anyone have any idea what this is? I have played the original CK and it works perfectly with no problem what so ever. I thought I would get DV and so got complete as I couldn't find the expansion. Its up to the latest beta patch but I have no idea what the problem is. Help please

Have you installed the latest beta-patch. The version with CK complete doesn't have the latetst beta-patch on it.

Rename the avi-folder in the main Crusader Kings folder to something else like avi.old f.e.

I just changed the avi file now, I remembered a similar problem I had with EU2not working because of the avi file. Thanks for the help

Also isn't the latest beta patch 2.1? I thought it was and that's what it says in the top right corner of the main menu.

What error-message do you get ?

i start the game and i belive it goes though the induction video and then i get this message

Read the thread to see what you must do.

it didnt work when i did that. now it did not to even go though the introduction. i just switched it back and now it just goes though introduction.

Are you running in Windowed or Full Screen mode?

what resolution are you running at? Have you tried another lower res?

ok it works i had to switch to 600x800 i was on 1152x864, but i have the game mount and blade and it works on 1152x864 whats up with that
