Hi all, was looking at EU II and HoI III. After trying the demos, I was thinking of going to EU II first, and just found my disk for HoI II.

So I want to buy this game and can't find it in the stores no more. No surprises there. Only place I found where I can get is in on Gamersgate.

So is there a place where I can buy EU II, or is Gamersgate the only place I can get it now?

After reading some posts there, I am reluctant of doing it. I have a credit card, will I have problems using it there? I read people tried using the CC but had to use paypal to get it. I want the game now, not wait for it to see if payment went through.

Also is there any spyware or copy protection they load on the computer so I can play the game? I can't remeber the name it's called, but I don't like any of that stuff on my computer.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I personally find Gamersgate to be the simplest to use of all online game stores. No it does not contain any spyware or copy protection. It does not even require a download client, you can download directly from the site after logging in to your account. You could of course order it online on many sites, but you will have a hard time finding a copy of it in any physical stores.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will try Gamersgate then. Hopefully I will not have any problems with it.

I just noticed that there is a EU II Asia. What one do I get? Is EU II Asia the same as EU II but with more added?

Ok I got the EU II regular edtion. Downloading it now. Hope I will have fun with it.

Any advice for me before I start playing EU II? Any good links to get tips and strategies?

The EU2 wiki has all the answers you should need :)

Just try the game out and look there if you find something you don't fully understand. And if you can't find your answer there, posting a thread here will net you answers.

EU2: Asian Chapters is a non-paradox game, very similar to EU2 (basically the same game). But it is not supported anymore and it is not a recommended purchase (by me).

Congratulations on a very well made decision to buy Europa Universalis 2!! :)

i bought mine on a local store, curiously i bought it because i got eu1 on a infomratic related magazine as a bundle.
