These are all images of the graphical issues I am having. Note that I have only had these issues as soon as I've installed patch 1.04c. I now purchased the game on Steam and so it automatically updates the game to 1.04c i believe, and since it does so I've had these issues again. I've tried looking around on the internet to find people with the same issue but I seem to be quite alone on this matter. I'll try to update drivers for my graphics card but I hardly think that is the problem here. The flags, or Coat of Arms are black, but as you can see in one picture I managed to fix that small issue by deleting the gfx folder and editing some lines in the settings.txt file.

The terrain seems to be all black, but the green and lush textures which is supposed to lie on top of the map is instead forming itself to pillars which reach vertically from ground to top.

Try a full clean reinstall: uninstall the game from Steam and move any valued save games elsewhere. Manually delete the CK2 directories from under the Steam AND MyDocuments folders, now reinstall the game via Steam.

If that doesn't help: please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the "Sound devices" section for brevity), settings.txt, system.log and error.log files (you'll need to rename the .log files to .txt to upload). Also open setup.log, search for "checksum", and paste that line only in here.

Uninstalling the game, and then continuing to delete all game files. Then proceeding to reinstall the game after all that had been done seemed to have solved the problem. I had previously tried uninstalling and re-installing the game, but what must have made it work this time was completely deleting all game files relating to CK2 and not until after that, reinstalling the game again.

Thanks AndrewT!

Yep. Steam seems to have issues doing uninstalls properly, they leave files lying around. That's what I have the above procedure available as a canned response.
