1.05 breaks the game, no longer starts

I'm on Windows 7. Just bought the game today. Worked fine in 1.00.

I get the following message:
"Please reinstall your copy of East India Company from your original installation media."

I've added eastindia.exe under the exemptions of DEP.


Should I demand a refund or something?

Hi,
this is a problem that occurs on Windows 7 sometimes. You should try to start the game straight from installation folder (not from games explorer). If it doesn't help, try running the patch-installer again.

I got the game working finally.. it was a combination of DEP and other things.
