[1.05] Counters not working

Hi, I recently installed Darkest Hour in Steam on W10. I have a good checksum (KVZZ) for DH Full but the counters appear as error textures--the beige boxes with big black borders and a transparent X. I've tried reinstalling but I encountered the same error.

This problem persists in DH Light and when running from the installation directory rather than Steam.

It is not an AMD issue as my laptop runs NVIDIA.

That's because you have deselected the sprites from the launcher but in-game the sprites are still selected.
Use the options to select the counters (or right click on the date-time while in game for a quicker menu).
