1.06c CTD

Hi-Playing US, date Aug.'36. Going along fine, when up pops this devil: "Critical Error-Database mismatch(type=6/id3300)already used". Options,Ignore continue, etc. Whichever one I chose, it was CTD. Help. Hugh Browne

Remove the game and then do a fresh reinstall, then just appy patch 1.06C

i got the same thing with a new install of HoI, except id = 2 (also 0, separately, that is, on a different load of HoI.) anyway, as it was a new install i knew that i had not done anything wrong (yeah, right.) :wacko:

so, on a hunch, i deleted the saved game, Germany_1938_September_20.eug (& *.eug.cfg file). problem solved.
