Ok, so I d/led the 1.07 patch, but when I try to use it it says I don't have EU2 installed, which I do. it doesn't even bring up a browse box so I can show the stupid thing where it is.

My EU2 directory is on D: drive (my second HD). Little help anyone?

are you absolutely sure you downloaded the correct patch version?

Okay...it's very unusual that this would happen unless you've either moved the EU2 files since you installed them, have downloaded the wrong patch, or you've had something nasty happen to your registry or Installshield folder.

I think your best bet will be to uninstall EU2 by following the "special" instructions in the Support FAQ (link in my sig) and then reinstalling, downloading the patch and then applying it.

If for any reason that doesn't work then I'll need detailed system info - particularly your OS.

Can't re-install, don't have the CD at the place I'm living atm. I think I know what the problem is, the second HD on this comp, was transplanted from another, without being formatted, so the data remained on there. So EU2 probably isn't in the reg anyway.

It's a real pain though, how much would it have taken to put a browse box in so I could the program to it.

Yep...that would do it. The registry and Installshield entries will be on the C drive of the computer you installed it in originally. Sorry. I'm afraid you're scuppered as far as an "official" update goes.

Your only recourse would be to dig up the thread in the GD forum that has the series of Johan's beta patches (all simply zip files) and apply each of them to your current installation one by one until you get to the March 25th one (which is roughly 1.07). that would let you play SP but not MP.

Another thing that might work (no promises though) would be to try using winrar or windzip to unpack the UK patch. I'm not certain if this will work, but if it does then you could manually place the files into their directories.

Otherwise I'm affraid you'll have to make arranagements to get the CD sent to you so you can do a full uninstall and reinstall. Sorry...

No problem. Sorry I don't have a better solution.
