Greetings..
Recently an Italian publisher has been found for Europa Universalis and so I have been asked to preview the game for the italian public.
The website I write for (www.multiplayer.it) sent me the CD they got from the publisher I suppose.. It's a (copied) cd whose label is "010404_EU_US"....
Once installed the "europa.exe" file seems to be version 1.07c.. But when run it asks for the CD..
I have been unable to find info on this 1.07 US patch (and anyway it doesn't accept the 1.08 American patch... only the UK patch although the label seems to name an US version)..
Is there a workaround on this problem or will I have to oblige them to send a better, working CD?
(Please note that although the CD is obviously not original.. this is the publisher's doing... rarely we get the boxed versions.. anyway if you go to the website, you will see my nick in the Staff page...)
The readme says that problems might arise with W95 systems... it says to install wsock 2.0.. But I have a WinME.. (My system is an AMD 1200 MHz , 512 MB Ram, a Riva TNT2 placeholder and two CD-ROM drives a Pioneer DVD Drive and a Plextor CD-Writer 12/10/32)...
Thanks in advance.
