We have had a bit of a problem while playing AoD multiplayer. On different occasions one of the players hasn't been able to start researching a technology. When we clicked start, nothing happened (It usually happens with only one technology and not always the same). I will try and remember to get a save game next time this happens.

Pausing the game should probalby do the trick, so restart should do it for sure. But I have never played multiplayer, so its theory only so far.

Keeping the game paused should work. What speed do you player the game at?

There is also the bug of a player finishing research for a technology, then that player crashes from the game. Maybe this is due to GameRanger (the online software we use) or losing sync, but could be due to something in AoD's game mechanics.
