When I attempt to use the launcher (because I want to use larger Resolutions), firstly, the resolutions drop down box is empty, secondly when I attempt to click Play/Launch I get this error.
I tried Admin mode and compatibility modes, no luck.
I don't know what's up with the launcher, but if you use it just for setting different resolutions then launch the game without it after having edited these two lines in settings.cfg
Sooo im kind of having the same problem with the launcher, as well as no options in the resolution drop down. I've tried changing the resolution in the config as well but nothing seems to change. I set it to my computers native resolution of 1600x900. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Is there a fix to this yet? We have the exact same problem, in 1.10, with Windows 10 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3G.
We have tried by-passing the launcher, using the compatibility modes, launching as admin. (Haven't tried setting the resolution in settings.cfg though.)

Tried that now. The resolution settings were not blank, but smaller than the ones you suggested. So I changed them, but it did not help. I still get the same error message as the starter of this thread.
And if I bypass the launcher, and I try to start the game as an admin, I get to enter the activation code for the game. But when I try that, I get "Unexpexted error 13:6".
I did a search for that error, and found a thread about another game (by another company) where the solution was to install Tages drivers. But I have no idea if that goes for AoD. And on the Tages page I don't see any drivers for Windows 10.

Tages? You mean the DRM system? If so, I seriously doubt that would do anything (i.e. don't install it).
Hmm, I'm at a loss here... Apart from installing in a folder which is not C:\Program files\ and running it as an administrator, I wouldn't know what else to suggest you :-S .
Ah, the launcher is toast, I fear. I am working on implementing an options menu directly into the game (you know, the like of which virtually every other game has had since ~1995).
Shameless plug:
Right now, clicking it just crashes the game though, hrhr. Not done yet implementing the menu itself.
