Summary

1.11.2: Selecting OpenGL renderer has no effect: Vulkan renderer is always loaded

Description

Just reinstalled the game. Was surprised to see that OpenGL is back but whether I choose OpenGL or Vulkan, renderer switches to Vulkan. Crash reports also say that Vulkan renderer was used. I tried both setting renderer in launcher and setting it in game and then restarting.

Did you try to temporarily return OpenGL while you fix issues with Vulkan?

Steps to reproduce

1. In launcher
Select OpenGL
Load the game
Check graphics settings.

2. In game
Load the game
Select OpenGL
Restart the game
Check graphics settings

Game Version

1.11.2

Hey there and thank you for the report! It was added back as a deprecated renderer for players that encountered issues with Vulkan. I've verified that you're unable to choose OpenGL and Vulkan stays as the base renderer on both Linux and MacOS. I've sent it over to our database.
