I've been away from Stellaris for a while, waiting for the Heinlein patch. I finally got around to trying it out with my brother, but we can't seem to connect or connect properly to each other.

I recall having some issues before, but now if we try to connect to each other via various means, we either get the "Game not found." error or we get into lobby, ready, then the host launches into game without the other player, and then the player left behind can't join the in-progress game due to "Game not found." error.

We've both been searching online for solutions, but none we've found have worked. With this sequence we are able to join each other's lobbies (most of the time), but then the host launches into game without the other player every time (then the other player can't join again).

It seems like this has been an issue for a while, but it's only just now affected me (and my brother). If anyone has any insight or solutions, I'd be very happy if we can get this to work.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, both our firewalls are configured properly, we aren't using any mods, and we both are playing in the same language but the issue still persists.

Try using 3 or 4 of the free sites out there that help detect whether ports you think are open, are really open.

Such as
www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports
www.canyouseeme.org/

And many others. It's best to check with several because they use different techniques.

I really can't think of what else could be causing the issues you describe, sorry.
