I'm having some trouble fitting in the icons for all the new mapmodes. Birger squeezed four of them in, but the fifth is tough. And the sixth really doesn't belong as an icon at all.

Hi, MichaelM.
Did the multiplayer starting CTD bug fixed?
If not, I can test it for you if you want that bug to been fixed.
Thank you.

Just a question; Could you give an order-of-magnitude estimation of how long it will take for the patch to arrive? (i.e. weeks, months, or another year or so :p... I'm rather enthousiastic about the news that you're actively working on it)

Ah, you've hit on a tender subject. :)

Here's the deal: All of us are working in our spare time only. That means a great deal can change. And while I might be able to come up with an estimate for my portion of the project (basically just the executable), I can't predict everyone else's schedule.

As soon as I know anything further, I'll pass it on.

Well okay, I understand that, and I don't mean to pressure you guys ;).

Thank you very much for your continued support by the way, in your spare time even. I will happily wait / play 1.2 until the new patch is finished :).

Thank you FTG developers and modders for your continued commitment and personal efforts. We EU2 cranks would be quite bereft without you.

Automatic rebel hunting could use a few tweaks, but is pretty handy overall.

Not yet.

Regarding the CTD on a start of a Multiplayer game in 1.2: in the German forum http://www.si-games.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=22 we did some testing with 5 to 13 players and had some interesting findings, like that if we started the game just with people having up-to-speed hardware and really fast Internet connections - so the game would load and connect for all people at the same time - it would CTD much less. It did make us fell, like there would be a timeout of about 1-2 seconds happening, which causes the CTD.

MichaelM: If it would be possible, we would really like to test the 1.3 beta patch, to help resolve the CTD bug.
