You are very much appreciated dear sir!! Though I do not equate you with any divine authority. Perhaps you shoudl be come Thor's hammer, a clearly fictional association and not likely to offend God. Tag :rolleyes:

surely the latest update is 1.3? i have an update/patch/file that is called hoi2_v1.3.exe. nowhere does it say 1.3a or 1.3b in the details.
in fact, i just checked the game hoi2.exe and it says the file version [in properties] is 1.2.
now i am confused.
i installed the 1.3 patch but it is still 1.2? yet the readme that came with it says 1.3.
does anybody know what is going on here?
is there a way of checking in-game?

i got the 1.3a. the link is in this forum. serves me right for not checking the threads properly.
but i cannot find 1.3b.

1.3a just fixed a problem with 1.3

1.3B can be found in the General forum sticky thread, don't know how many other ways to say it. 4fresh told you already.

You may be confussed because it is called AI update or some such.
 
Umm, you are perhaps not as perceptive as you think since Johan has not posted in this thread. ;)

And the reason I did not link right to it is that that will not teach you how to do it yourself and the next time another update is released you have to come back and not play it untill someone links to it for you.

(I like that quote! What do you think of this: "While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, art is the eye of beauty itself". Not sure what it means, but it sounds profound. Btw, as many may not know, "Destroyer" is one of the original albums of the Rock band KISS (as to whether that means 'keep it simple stupid', one can only guess), but it is a very simple and fun and good rock-n-roll album that contains my favorite KISS song "God of Thunder and Rock-N-Roll").

Back to topic: Would you recommend any one particular software/shareware for a non-computer literate person to extract the .rar file(s)? Or, do you find them all to be comparable in terms of performance and user simplicity? Posting it as sticky somewhere might be helpful to anyone who has not learned how to fish, yet.
 
I use WinRAR, which you can get for free at Tucows.

I do not have the programs needed to extract the .rar 1.03b. Could someone please relase a 1.03b in the usual way? (with wizard installer and such, I mean)
