I have this. What fixed it?

I had to do a validate game files, wipe out my mods folder and do a fresh mods install. Also make sure you update to the new versions of your mods. 3025 Extended and CAB in my case. Before the clean mod install I had issues with no contracts, Mechbay problems and some saves not loading. After the clean refresh it all worked perfectly.

I did the same thing. Have most things back up and running. I validated my files for shits and giggles, but cleaning out the mods folder was the real deal that helped my saves working. Now both careers will load and my current campaign.

Best of luck getting your mods going! I suggest incrementally adding a few at a time, load up, see if everything works, then add a few more. That way you know what is making your saved campaign or career not load.

Too bad my game seems not to generate contracts anymore ... I have a mod to show where I have and haven't been, and now if I travel somewhere I've not been, no contracts. Also, just started a career-mode game, no contracts at starting planet or on travel.

OK, I copied all mods out of the folder, wiped everything in the folder, re-installed ModTek 0.7.1 and replaced the mods, and I'm getting contracts again ... it's not ModTek's fault they're so bad, I suppose, 4 government ones...

There's a mod that skips the opening movies.. remove it from the mod folder..

ALso when adding new mods first step drop new mod in mod folder.. second step DELETE the .modtech folder (it should be the FIRST folder in the mods folder due to the . at the beginning of the file name) which stores a series of files that speed up the load process considerably after the first time mods are loaded. Everytime you add a new mod you should do this. Not all mod play nice with each other and there are a number of way to figure out whats what. FOr now train yourself to add one mod at a time, check it for function, then another mod.. the devs do not support modding directly so mods and troubleshooting is all on you.

Hmm, I have 3025 extended and the community asset bundle. That's it. I don't have a separate mod that skips the opening movies. Done a fresh install of modtek, the CAB. Btech. It is the GOG Btech, not Steam. Some said GOG doesn't play nice with mods, but other say that's not true. Any more suggestions? I updated my video driver just for fun.

I find the GOG version a little easier to work with modding wise myself. But they both mod equally well. Cannot figure out why you cannot get the game to start, and get past the opening cinimatic unless it's really slow to load.. I don't know what to suggest.
