According to maps with ids for oceans here (posts 8 to 10):

Continent for sea zones 1031, 1032, 1079, 1212 and 1219 should be Oceania
Continent for sea zone 1321 should be Asia
Continent for sea zone 1360 should be Africa
Continent for sea zones 1367 and 1375 to 1378 should be America

Not really a bug but name of GEL country in text.csv is Gelderland but specific events file is AGCEEP_Specific_Geldre.eue.

Should'nt events file be renamed according to text.csv?

Can I ask why we would do that? Wouldn't it make more sense to move those seazones to the appropriate seas? Also, Seas can be in multiple continents, so why should 1031,1032, etc. move to continents that are further away?

Check highlighted sea zones on the maps (or missing coloured dot in first one) in the link and province.csv. You will see current sea (region) is right for all mentioned provinces but continent and only continent is wrong.

For example, sea zone 1031 is in EPacificSea region but continent is... Europe.

Current region and continent for sea zones:
Pacific Countercurrent (1031): EPacificSea - Europe
Irrawady delta (1079): NEIndianSea - Asia
North West Cape (1212): SEIndianSea - Asia
Straits of Torres (1219): OceaniaSea - Asia
Ocean (1321): NWPacificSea - Oceania
Coast of Transkei (1360): SWIndianSea - Oceania
Southern Atlantic Ocean (1367): SWAtlanticSea - Africa

etc...

Ah, I see what you're saying. Makes sense.

Oh that reminds, which I need to bring up, but Spain isn't actually told to explore any of the seas on the way to the Philippines.

Intended. This is why we modified region of all sea zones around Philippines (1151, 1152, 1153 and 1352) and moved them to West Pacific Sea... and it works. Spain always colonize Philippines now, but not always in time.

Also, is there a reason that Spain is never directed to explore SWAtlantic or SEPacific, even its later AI files?
No idea.

It's worked in none of mine. :D
It makes 50% then, if we made the same amount of tests but "none of mine" is not a plural... ;)

In this case, the possessive pronoun mine stands in place of my tests. ;)

Ok, I wasn't sure... :eek:o

But I am still surprised it doesn't work at all in your tests.

About "missing" regions for Spain, they have no influence on colonization right? But they could be added to late 1700 file. 1586 one could/should be useful for Philippines... re-:eek:o

Well when I added them earlier, to provide an alternate route to the Philippines (didn't work by the way), it led to more colonization of southern South America. That seems about right for 18th century and forwards.

My current test, date is 1627:

Not really a failure, isn't it?

But Luzon with grain is not really appealing for greedy Spain...

In my 5 previous tests:
1660-1680
1700-1720
1620-1640
1580-1600
1580-1600

But islands are always discovered before. Only problem is Spain is too busy colonising elsewhere or involved in wars (and thus not sending troops to Philippines in order to "secure" provinces).

How bizarre (with regards to me always missing out on seeing them colonized). At any rate, anything attempts past 1660 should be counted as failures...considering that Spain should historically be making inroads around 1560.

It's sort of the same on the Dutch bit that I'm trying to work on. The Netherlands should be in Indonesia at the start of the 17th century. The end of the century is much too late.
