Thanks! I constantly have a look at this forum even if I don't post as in the past...

About a compiler, do you mean someone keeping the record in bugfixing and such?

And what about the removal od mandead's unfinished modifications? Is it possible to get back to a previous version of those ENG files? If not, I recall a possible bugfix in a specific event for England to get the Loyalist (or was it the other?) faction back with a TAG inheriting...

EDIT

That was my post in bugfix thread:

If the mandead ENG events could be described in detail what the issue was, i could fix these............I did fix the available ones that yoda gave me.

as for compiler, well someone who could upload 1.58 into FTG is what I mean.

As for ROY tag in game.........I have seen them for about 2 years

At least we should start from where we were... here in compiling 1.58!

About manded's files, the problem is that I didn't follow their development, just Yoda's update of the 1.58 version which was including them. So I can't say what should remain and what should go.

Otherwise we would need to get the beta before the "included but not submitted yet or only for tests" which hopefully Yoda could still have. We need to contact him!

Another solution would be trying to ask the forum administrator to get the original BIF thread back with all the missing pages. This is in my opinion the best solution we have available!

At least the visibility of the pages mentioned below:

Compiling 1.58 thread in Eu2 agceep subforum said:

Included but not submitted yet or only for tests:
Other changes for England by mandead, here (+ 3149 + 3152 + 3177 + 3178 + 3183) => to be checked and amended for some part
Edward IV's Invasion of 1475 sequence by mandead, here (+ 3111) - under discussion
Reworked Napoleonic Spain by mandead, here (+ 2978 + 2993) - missing descriptions

the .rar file is still available, I don't know if there is the need to fine tune some commands or whatever as I don't know if something was done for 1.57. Who could know?

Maybe because they are re-conquered? There is no event to get them back to ENG as it's scripted for FRA.

And more: one thing I would like to see in the game is the use of future WATK4 map for agceep too!

I was the compiler for the first AGCEEP release.:D

I've actually been working on finalizing 1.58, but this whole getting my head around mandead's work is getting me down. Unfortunately, it would likely take me just as much effort to remove it as to make something workable for the moment.
About Mandead's stuff: why not including Toio's modifications as for now? Then we will try to find out the bugs and whatever there could be.
We should avoid to step back to 1.57 with all the modifications and improvements we made in 1.58...

I'm not working on it right now, but I'm available if you have technical questions.
Not working on it right now means that you could work on it at some time, correct? :D

I did email him but never got any response. Did you try?

I remember that Yoda contacted Johan about that, as it seems that Johan himself had banned mandead and deleted his posts. Johan at first agreed to restore the posts but a few days later, for some reason, they disappeared again.

No way to contact Yoda. However does anyone know if there is some progress in converting the latest patch into FTG agceep?

That cannot and mustn't end in this way...

Good to see you are still around, Bordic. We lost many good people these last few months. I do not think that anyone is working on it or he/she would have posted about it here. I am quite busy at the moment working on my own mod, where by the way help is still welcome should you have any interest in medieval times, but maybe you and Toio can work something out...

Very good! However I see I have forgotten to submit may latest (very old actually...) suggestions in eu2 agceep Italy thread post 1812 and in ftg agceep Italt thread: post 12.

Not in the least. I just stuck to what we'd originally said that we were going to close off 1.58 before the addition of that material, per the compiling thread. :p

As we now have the agceep 1.58 for FTG too:

Should this version be fine tuned with the new ftg AI given in the patch 1.2? Should the country dedicated AI files be tweaked as to avoid weird AI decisions or was the 1.2. patch more on the exe file?

Well this is exciting! I've had the chance to learn the basics of AI files and events since picking up FTG and will make an effort to contribute to the AGCEEP process. Hopefully our small FTG community will be able to carry the torch some.

More on the exe files. There were a few ai changes though that I put in the FTG 1.58 patch as they had been made during the beta process for the version of the AGCEEP that came bundled. (I know that both the RUS and HOL AI files are different from their EU2 counterparts.)

So, how can we implement the mod in the new ftg coding? Apart from the Reformation MUS thing which I haven't ever followed as I started to script events from version 1.38, iirc, how could I help? I really would like to adapt the mod to a new map currently available. Is that premature? Do we have any urgencies in bug fixing or testing the mod with the new 1.2 patch? Do we need to wait for the next 1.3 patch, if any? Is there a sort of to-do list for this coming patch already posted in this forum which I haven't yet seen?

I know, these are too many questions? But as you can see, my RL engagements in the past two years really prevented me to post in this forum and even to sit in front of a pc connected to internet, apart from working purposes, of course! And this period of time seems not to be yet overcome...
